From the moment I read this post, I am figuring out what the market will be like in the next 10 years? But not thinking about the future of what ETH will be? I am not sure about the future of this market, what I am feeling about it is really great for the future, in a positive thought after learning all the information I know, I predict ETH will cost $10000.

Bitcoin will still be the first even if ETH goes more than $10,000, I'm positive that ETH will go that high especially if they solve the high transaction fee which they were saying this July. The waiting is really going to make it forever but I'm sure if you still hold it up to that period, it would be worth. Now imagine what other token's price could be if ETH reached that ATH.

10 years? That's a very long time. Bitcoin just passed 10 years and it turned out great. I'm not sure about Ethereum in 10 years though. Competition is real.

That's certainly true, mate. Competition is getting fierce each day as new smart contract platforms emerge. Right now, there are many alternatives that are superior than Ethereum in terms of transaction capacity. There's nothing stopping ETH rivals from getting increased adoption in the mainstream world. What they lack is developer interest, as most developers are still relying on ETH for their own creations. It's why ETH is still the #1 platform in the world, even with high fees and slow transaction confirmation times in play. That could change in the future if ETH doesn't scale in time. How much it will be worth in a decade from now will greatly depend on how fast developers roll out new upgrades on the Blockchain. Don't expect ETH to hit $10k anytime soon if developers continue to delay upgrades.

Nonetheless, we could say that the real value of ETH remains a mystery. Demand is certainly high right now, in part because of the "De-Fi" hype. I don't think the hype will last for 10 years, but if it does, then we could expect ETH's prices to be a lot higher than what they are right now. $100k per coin is only a dream considering that there's no hard cap in ETH's supply. As long as this is the case, prices will stall because of inflation. Luckily, the ETH dev team announced a new "EIP" which aims to make ETH scarcer by burning gas fees. There is not a single person on earth that can make a decision on what will happen 10 years from now with 100% precision, it is obvious that we are going to have to live in a situation where we will have to live with just predictions and guess and assumptions because that's all we have. That's why I feel like we need to realize we are just making stuff up here and none of it could be real, everyone could be wrong.

Only thing I can predict is that ethereum will be higher, it will go up, that is all that I can make from the current momentum. I mean crypto all goes higher in the long term, unless they are a horrible coin of course but the good ones all go up in long periods, and we are talking about 10 years now so that means we are talking about a very very very long term, which is why I think it is quite obvious that we should be making a profit if we buy right now, will that be 2x or 100x who knows?

Let us not forget ETH fell to around $90 or so recently before the price started rising towards $2000. Nobody knows where it will end but if more and more countries make use of crypto illegal then the whole thing becomes pointless so maybe 10 years from now crypto will be state controlled and anything else will be illegal - who knows?

As the time goes by many of us didn't expect that the crypto currency become so popular. As a member here in crypto currency community way back 2017 the value of ETH is just $100 or more and it's just a 4 years ago how much more in 10 years. I am looking forward for a good future of Ethereum 10 years from now like Bitcoin. Maybe at that moment Ethereum has already a value that might be competitive and could be match to bitcoin. $10k is no question as we're about to see it go to $2k and then if the solution of Vitalik goes on it, we will definitely see an increase in its prices.
That's what most of the investors are waiting for, the solution to the high fees and when it's there. Many projects will rely again on ethereum which will make the demand higher.

I am not planning on ethereum to take the place for bitcoin, in fact I do not even have any worry if it will stay second or not, it can drop all I care. You know what I care? I want to see ethereum go up like bitcoin did, that's all I care about. In 10 years time bitcoin moved from just a small hobby thing into a 1+ trillion dollar thing, ethereum lived a 5 year or so life so far as well so we can't say that it is new, but I want to see 1+ trillion from ethereum in the next 5 years to be like bitcoin, and after that it is all increases.

It means in 10 years I think if ethereum is anything like bitcoin, that means we should see an 8k like price, and if that happens we can see 20k+ broken by 10 years and even more. That is on the small scale by the way, I do not expect the price to be this low, I think it will be much bigger, near 50k levels in 10 years, but I wanted to share what I think will happen at minimum.

Agree. The high fee issue needs to be solved before ETH hits any new ATHs on the market. I believe that the upcoming ETH 2.0 upgrade will result in a bullish trend for the world's second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap. We're now in phase 0, so it should take a year or two before ETH becomes a full-fledged PoS cryptocurrency. Once that happens, ETH could hit well above $5k per coin. Besides, a lot can happen in just 10 years from now. ETH could continue to soar higher or go all the way down the drain in an instant. Who knows how much ETH will be worth by then? My guess is that ETH will do fine within the next 10 years if it remains popular in the mainstream world. Buying and "hodling" ETH right now might be the wisest thing you could do to help secure your financial future.

Nonetheless, anything could happen in crypto land. There is so much competition in the crypto/Blockchain space that it's hard to tell which projects will survive and which will go down the drain. While ETH is still the leading smart contract platform, it may lose its dominance in the future if doesn't stay ahead of the game. If other projects fare better than ETH within the next 10 years, don't expect prices per coin to go any higher on the market. If ETH adoption grows by a large margin, then we'll be able to see the coin become much more valuable than what it is right now within the next 10 years. For what I know, 10 years is a lot of time in the crypto/Blockchain space. My guess is that ETH would've already scaled to millions of users with every network upgrade implemented within a decade from now. Imagine ETH being faster, cheaper, and stronger than ever before. The price per coin could go well above $5k at a very fast pace.

Nonetheless, it seems to me that ETH's price is driven by utility instead of speculation. The world's second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap is heavily used by everyday people to interact with decentralized applications on a daily basis. If there's utility for the coin, demand will increase. This translates into higher prices in the long term. Considering that no one can predict the future, all we can do is speculate hoping that our dream would come true someday. Who knows how crypto land will look like 10 years from now? Just my thoughts
