If you don't like the updates and reboots while mining then you need to consider a mining OS that's running on Linux build, for example hiveOS, EthOS, Minerstat OS, Simplemining OS, etc, they don't need any constant updates like those on windows OS

It still won't stop the update permanently, I've used this before and once I keep browsing on the PC the update will still go on, it's better to stay updated always, OP should update all the necessary updates for windows to reduce it, if he stays updated there won't be reboots every time to time

Espeically win 10 home.  The pro version allows group policy home does not.

I switched to linux years ago and have never worried about silly windows again.
I literally have a mining OS that hasnt been updated by maker since 2018...still runs strong today....with all the current miners.

Windows cant hold a candle to linux uptime.  And windows wastes huge amount of resouces.

My rigs are mobo/4gb ram/ any cpu / 16gb thumbdrive / psu / gpus /risers....nothing else.  Even on the smallest or oldest celeron or pentium runs fine.

Enjoy your bloated windows spyware...becuase no matter what you do...it is spying and reporting to redmond everything you run/do.

The truth is everyone can't use Linux for different reasons, they are hard to get used to unless you've been using them for a long time, you need to do research on ways to stop windows update, there is also settings in windows update thay can be used to ignore searching for any update
