I don't want to turn the topic into discussing the their service but I have to point something out. They might be good service but not warning their customers that the their funds most likely will get locked until profound investigation is done, is dragging them down below in matter of trust.

The people that would know how bad their service model and how they lock out this accounts will know how to sift through the mud of other user that will discuss the service of FreeWallet. Just because he (supposedly) has Freewallet account doesn't mean that he used them for storing billion dollar worth of bitcoin. Since they have tendencies of confiscating people's funds, I have no doubt that they would exit scam already is someone is crazy enough to use them for storing such a huge amount of BTC. Then again, Musk even if he has account there, he should listen to his own advice and avoid them at all cost.

I do agree that it is hard to believe that anyone would use Freewallet when you see how they treat their users, but for some reason people still do, unfortunately.

This incident should act as an eye opener to all whoever holds their coins to online account providers like coinbase or freewallet etc. I see they have unlocked Elon's account just after a tweet but imagine if it was any XYZ person! Probably it would have taken him a lifetime to unlock the account.

Cryptocurrency was introduced to remove the middleman from any financial transaction. Online wallets are the middlemen here which must be removed at all costs! Not your keys, not your crypto!

Yes, this is the right time to open up an explosion of dissatisfaction from all users, this moment should be a topic for every user to cash out their balance on FreeWallet immediately. and provide lessons for all the actions of those who arbitrarily lock their accounts.

But, there is no doubt that if an ordinary user would have had such a problem instead of Elon Musk, you would not have paid any attention to their words. If they had contacted via Support, you would have confiscated their funds on the pretext of TOS. In the case of Coinbase & you, there are many instances where people have lost their funds.

Everyone should learn from this tweet of Elon Musk, get rid of custodial wallet and make it a habit to use the non-custodial wallet.

He was probably annoyed they were trying to promote their service using his name and wanted to embarrass them. FreeWallet doesn't have the best reputation so it is really good of him to promote using non-custodial wallets.
