Definitely, it doesn't worth spending BTC for having fun, especially if the average transaction fees are above $20. The exchanges ask for a $25 fee for withdrawing BTC to gambling websites and it is not affordable to use top cryptocurrencies. I will stick to the LTC or XRP because of the cheaper fees and faster transaction speeds.

Happy Friday, gamblers Smiley

Some time ago, last October, I asked you if BTC price increase has affected your gameplay somehow. Back then, it wasn't a problem for most of the users who replied.

Well, today the BTC price is almost $50K. I was just wondering, how are things now.
Are you still playing with Bitcoin, or have you switched to another coin due to a rise?

Thanks,
Karl from Bitcasino
Hello Karl,
well, these past few days I’m not gambling too much. I was betting using Bitcoin, but it was a few times.
I'm thinking of using some other cryptocurrency with low transaction fees, for example XRP or something like that, the increase in Bitcoin and other currencies, it is becoming unviable to use Bitcoin or Ethereum for example.

Agree, it is meaningless to pay $10 fee for withdrawing BTC if there are cheaper alternatives. XRP is the fastest available option but for creating the XRP wallet I have to rip 20 xrp.

You're a big gambler. $500 per month is truly a big amount to be spend per month. It is truly a hard thing to prioritise gambling as a way to relieve stress. In my understanding, however you try to consider gambling for fun it'll hurt when you experience loss. Maybe it can differ with you.
We know that life isnt equal and there are people who are really that rich of financially capable on spending up things which in other people do see it to be too much.
They can spend more than with our annual job pay or salary and just deal with it.We do have different priorities in life so capacity on how we do deal with
gambling will really vary on someones capacity. When it comes to bitcoin price and gambling then it doesnt really matter for some and one of the main
issues now is about the fees which are too high. There are various alternatives though which someone can still play without bothering himself.

Op, like last time, our answer will be the same and that is 'Yes', we still gamble with btc but decreased the size of the bets because we cannot afford to lose $530 per bet while placing 0.01 btc bets any more. The size of our bets have significantly dropped and we may stop gambling with btc if it shows continuous peaks and makes a new high above $100k because 1k sats will become $1 at that time.

It's streesful if you keep losing and while losing you also notice that the value of crypto/bitcoin is rising, regrets followed whenever you find yourself realizing mistake with your gambling activities.
If your new to bitcoin gambling it could be stressful but when you've been there multiple times you'll get used to it eventually since these price changes are inevitable. Also you shouldn't feel too bad about your losses knowing you can afford it but if you're really bothered with the recent movements happening every few days better switch to casinos that lets you convert your crypto to fiat.

Agree, it is meaningless to pay $10 fee for withdrawing BTC if there are cheaper alternatives. XRP is the fastest available option but for creating the XRP wallet I have to rip 20 xrp.
In addition to this, casinos usually have lower minimum withdrawals on alts so it's much more affordable to deposit/withdraw and not worry about your balance getting stuck if you're above or below the minimum.

With transactions fees beginning to increase again I could see how it could make it more difficult for some users to use Bitcoin for things like this.  Depending on how users get their funds, combining inputs just to make the transfer to a gambling house could be very costly.  While this might not be an issue for everyone, it assuredly is an issue for some people, and I imagine that moreso than the price of BTC (you could just bet less) has an effect on users.

Last year I switched and gambled mostly with Ripple (XRP) and this year, it still didn't change. The reason is that their transaction fee is way better for me than Bitcoin. But even at as such, I am still considering cutting down my gambling with XRP, and it's because I want to see where my coin will take me this year.

Honestly, I've switched to an altcoin which has less gas fees rather than using Bitcoin for gambling. If you constantly compare it to USD, then you probably think the transaction fees are higher than the amount you win at gambling. But then again, most gamblers don't mind the fees too most especially if you win the game. lol Oh and I'm currently using XRP too because of its lesser fees when you transfer.

We don't have to use bitcoin to gamble because we have altcoins that can serve us to avoid the high fees. Yes, we drop the amount of using bitcoin because bitcoin is now at a high peak, even if the price is below $50k, but soon, the price will increase again. So we decide to use bitcoin or moving to altcoin because that is what we need to do if we want to play gambling with crypto. We don't have to confuse using bitcoin or altcoins because we should think twice about using crypto to gamble. If we just want to feel the fun thing, we can use altcoin. Otherwise, we don't have to gamble for a while.

As the price of BTC rises the fees rise as well. Using alternative coins as a means for gambling will be beneficial, especially altcoins with lower fees. It will be difficult to sustain gambling if you will keep on using BTC or even ETH due to the pricey transaction fees. The best option I use is XRP it costs way lesser to transfer and is faster.
This depends on the amount you gamble, if you are just gambling a penny, then you would really feel the high transaction fee. Problem with some of us is we are too excited to withdraw every time we win, and that would lessen our profit as we will have to pay for the high transaction fee the site is going to charge us.

For big bettors, the fee now is still acceptable, so they are not totally affected.

Still most people prefers bitcoin for their gambling activities but it definitely affected the wager amount and also Doge coin activity in the gambling sites increases simply because price for BTC transaction is ridiculous at the moment so people who don't want to miss their bet opt for other currencies which are cheap and fast to transact right now.

It really depends on the different players' attitudes because there are many high rollers who do not care about the price even if it is going through the roof. For regular small gamblers who want to bet and gamble low amounts the only way to go is to look for alternatives. Personally speaking I would never use XRP to gamble but I see you like it.

There are already a lot of betting sites that are accepting XRP, these are some of the following sites.

1-cloudbet
2-Betcoin.ag
3-Bitsler
4-Betnomi

and many more I guess, but I only choose these sites as they are in bitcointalk and we can read some feedback about them.

XRP can be one of many altcoins which gamblers can use to reduce the high fees. But still, not many websites accepting XRP as a bet, but the sites will add another coin that is not too expensive as XRP. With bitcoin price is up and down, I think many small gamblers prefer to hold their bitcoin and not use it to play gambling as they want to profit from trading. Perhaps, we will see a gambling site transform into better things following bitcoin price increases, and if bitcoin price is reduced, I think a gambler will still hold their bitcoin. At this time and after this, the gambling site will be different than the last year and 2 years ago.

~snip~
Right now that seems like the only viable option, dogecoin and other coins have very cheap fees and confirmation times that can help us to keep gambling while this bull run is happening, also one of the things that I like about dogecoin is that its value is so low that I get the impression that I am making big bets when in fact I am betting very little money, the only issue is that as we know not all casinos accept dogecoin so this can become a problem for those that gamble in casinos that do not offer this payment option.

When we use Dogecoin, we will not feel that we use too big money, as the Dogecoin price is not too high compared to the other coins. Compare to Tron, Eos, or XRP, I prefer to use Dogecoin like you, and that is good if we know many gambling sites which have Dogecoin as the option to gamble. We can prevent the high fees and long time confirmations by using Dogecoin.  And with the increases in the cryptocurrency price and popularity, we should be wise to select the coin for gamble because I don't think that we want to lose much money.
That is precisely why I feel like I am making big bets, the price of dogecoin is so low that I can bet a lot of doge and still make a very small bet, this makes me feel as if I am making these huge bets when in fact when I look at the amount in terms of dollars or bitcoin I am making very small bets, however that is the impression that I get if that is not the case with you that is fine, however dogecoin is critical for gamblers right now as the fees are still too high in bitcoin and for the most part if you make bets with a small amount of capital it is likely a great deal of that money will disappear in fees if we used bitcoin.

Agree, it is meaningless to pay $10 fee for withdrawing BTC if there are cheaper alternatives. XRP is the fastest available option but for creating the XRP wallet I have to rip 20 xrp.
Yes @seleme, I agree with you. Currently, it is more viable to use low-rate altcoins as I said earlier.

There is no reason for using Bitcoin (now) for the high rates, other cryptocurrencies that I also see an advantage in using are XLM and ADA because it has low fees charged by the network.

It really depends on the different players' attitudes because there are many high rollers who do not care about the price even if it is going through the roof. For regular small gamblers who want to bet and gamble low amounts the only way to go is to look for alternatives. Personally speaking I would never use XRP to gamble but I see you like it.

Not really. Bitcoin's jumped about 100 times in USD value since I first saw it and used it in gambling. I was happy doing 100 satoshi bets then just as I am now. Of course, for bigger betting like sports I now use even lower than 1 mbtc units, but this was always possible before anyway.

Doge/ETH/LTC gambling still way better than XRP gambling man!

together with that trx also gives small fee and like doge you can play much longer using this coin. With how bitcoin really increase in value finding alternative that may extend your stay inside gabmling house gives opportunities to this types of crypto coins.

You just need to find what suitable crypto that also allowed from your favorite crytpo gambling house that will bring the satisfactions that you are aiming, you can still enjoy if you are tight in budget, there's always a possible way to continue your gambling, even you are not using Bitcoin.

ETH is also high in fees so it's not all altcoins are good in using too.

You just have to experience most transactions in different altcoins so you'll get the idea of which has the cheapest transaction fees. And whatever are the altcoins that's being supported by the casino you play at.

WOW I didn't know so many gamblers were using XRP to gamble. On which casino are you playing? Do you know a place (a thread or a website) where gambling sites accepting XRP are listed?

https://wolf.bet/
https://fairspin.io/
www.betcoin.ag

These casinos do accept Ripple which you can really make out deposits making use of this coin.
