As I wrote earlier, given the seriousness of the intermediate opponents, the discussed fight is becoming less and less likely. But I cannot say that I am upset - in the end, these fights will take place earlier than in August (I do not like to wait) and they will be no less interesting (especially Wilder's revanche against Fury).
With the pandemic is still with us, it's hard to be sure if the fight would really happen, we've seen a lot of announcing fights, like the big ones but they did not happen. Maybe this time promoters really are struggling to race money for the fight, they just want to make sure that if the fight will happen, they'll be able to make it a profitable fight and could maximize it as we never know if there will be a rematch going to happen.
With the huge purse demanded by both sides, it's not an easy job for the promoters here.
