I guessed it right when I was reading that the scammer will top it up with some bitcoin and send the victim some chunks of it.
This is where a logical person would easily find out that something is definitely fishy. Why would someone send some bitcoin to an unknown person just like that ?

There's one similar kind of scam that I recently read about and the scammer here would send BTC to victim's account.
But here the scammer would send big amount of testnet BTC to the victim and ask for fees to access the account with tBTC.
The victim would fall for the trick he just has to pay a small amount and in return he would get more amount of BTC but later finds out that it is just testnet bitcoin and he can't really use it anywehere.

Every newbie should read this post and beware of such type of scams.

How will scammer make money by causing you problems? can you buy Bitcoin from Bitcoin.com with stolen cards? It will work.
i was thinking he will earn from hardforks.
It is easier for him to sell those cards at sites coinmarketcap and withdraw Bitcoin.
I agree with you, there is no person who gives money for free, and when you hear that there is something free, know that you will pay the price, whether it is with your personal data or others.
Once you know the motives of a person who's trying to be good to you where they offer a too good to be true results, it's easy to identify a scammer. If you find someone offering a good money without doing nothing be cautious because there's a hidden agenda after that. Just like what the OP said they will try to contact you to ask something in return about of their offer.

Remember, don't send any money first to someone you don't know online they will try everything to trick you.
Their other methods is to ask you to buy something for them e.g. Bitcoin then ask to it to a X wallet address.
Don't fall for those kind of tricks.

Scammers is getting smarter everyday so if you are lacking of knowledge about how they will scam you, just remember that there's no easy way to make money and beware of a too good to be true offer.

Scamming can take different schemes and the vulnerable are always the money hungry type especially those whom aren't ready to put in the work or manage there investments themselves. You eventually find yourself in a pit of your own laxity and ignorance. In other to avoid getting involved in most of this scams like this, you must first develop a hatred for easy money. I know its not that simple to hate what you wish to earn but in the long run should you develop this character towards easy money, it saves you lots of trouble and fraud at most.
Nice of you to expose this trick by the user i hope not to come across, be curious and let your curiosity save you!

Anyone who promises to give you free money or easy money is something to be vigilant and get all the details about it and most importantly do not be greedy.
Some people also take your money and promise you to double them in certain days which is another form of scam which is popular in some areas.

If it were us, we won't entertain such kind of offer rather we already scroll down to read some beneficial knowledge but those people who think that doubling money is just an easy step to do. Those people are often to this kind of scam and scammers have their own strategies to fool people. You will have some idea of how they lure their victims if you watch this kind of Youtube channel.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBNG0osIBAprVcZZ3ic84vw

This man exposes the scammer's strategy and he will show us how those scammers fool their victims with their silly scripted acts.
He also helps some of the victims to get their money back. a modern hero on the internet.

1.   If it is that easy, why doesn’t he do it himself?
2.   Why does he need my account?
3.   Why doesn’t he make his family, friends, and everyone he knows rich?
4.   What makes me so special that he needs my help and my account?
+ 1. Great question to ask and settle with the mind before anything, if am not selfish/greedy I would not believe someone will just need my help for task so easy, -Newbies- ask questions at all cost and time
+2. If he is not someone you training that still doesn't understand crypto-currency and into legal things that you know about, accounts should be per person to his/her account, and any excuses, -regional, idea and more- are pretence.
+3,4,5 are still furthermore excuses.

During the bullish market condition this happen mostly. It’s because people become careless about there money when they see their portfolio increased a couple X+. Andd they become also very greedy, also think maybe earning  money is so easy. Then find a way of doubling the portfolio again.

So if the scammers offering and victim’s timing works perfectly then increase such scamming history one more.

My people do have a saying that goes, "easy thing dey purge". In actual it means, what comes easy do purges the stomach. This is translated figuratively to mean, what ever comes easily always haves a bad side to it or is trouble and goes easily as well. The worst case scenario in this one is, you don't get to have anything in return but your desire to have lures you into a death trap, maybe not literally per say but, for your funds. Funds you won't have given off willingly should you know it was you being scammed.
Luckily, a little investigation and asking members of the forum which are more ready to aid with any enquiry is all you need, just ask and get answers. Also, to be on the safe side, don't chase after anything too good to be true.

This were the scammer used to lure people because of the profit they promise you will gain after investing, but what you did not know is that they were just attracting you to, spend a lot of your money to them, one of the tactics that always make people believe, makes you profit in your first try and after you see the big returns, they will ask you to invest more, after that they will take your money and run.

Actually no, it was obvious the moment they asked for wallet details.
I wouldn't agree, and most people wouldn't know what is going on or where the dangers are. Most scam attempts require that you invest your own money or they give ridiculous and unsustainable promises of profit. Here, non of that is needed. I think that if the scammer didn't reveal that he was using stolen credit cards to the user who asked him about how his "money-making system" works, it would have taken a longer time to discover what was going on. People would have doubted the legality of it, but they wouldn't know how they could be getting scammed.

The biggest give-away in this case was that it is apparently so easy to make thousands of dollars a day (according to the scammer). Anyone who thinks logically and does an honest day's work knows that big money doesn't fall from the sky just like that.

These scams are as old as the Internet and are repeated in many forms and ways like those weird emails where some African prince offers you millions of dollars if you help him transfer his fortune into your bank account and save him from enemies.
Of course, you have to give him all the data from your bank account first.
It is remarkable that even today there are naïve Internet users who believe in such nonsense and lose money on such scams.
There are very few generous people in the world, and even fewer on the Internet.
So the best advice is the following: ''If something is too good to be true, then it is probably a scam''.
Thank you OP for this important warning for new and young, inexperienced forum users.

If offers aren't attractive no one will fall for such that's why scammers offers are always too good to be true most times, and also we have too many people in the world that believe that every human have good hearts like them, they don't know about the cruelty of some human being, they only learn when they've got hurt

The scammer promises his victims a quick get rich scheme. He doesn’t ask you for any money, and you don’t need to do any work. The only thing you need to do is give him access to your blockchain.com account. He will top if up with some bitcoin and send you a big chunk of it.
The words that I've bolded are enough for me to say that it is a scam attempt against me.

I joined Discord channels and Telegram groups of different projects and there are always somebody who is sending me a PM regarding different things. Some are saying that I've won X amount of BTC, some are just saying purely nonsense etc. I agree with what the OP has posted. COMMON SENSE is enough already for you not to get scammed.

These ways of scamming people are very old but unfortunately, many are still falling into this kind of trap because they think that there is such thing as "quick rich scheme". If there really is a thing like that then most of us must've be rich by now right? Still, thanks to the OP for giving some advice to those ignorant and newbie investors out there.

There are still a lot of people that are so vulnerable in our country. People are still falling from the old antiques of scammers with the lack of knowledge they have combined with their desperation to earn money in the situation we have right now.

Still, I don't see their situation to be a reason for that. It is a scam for a reason and people should know that SEC in our country has been also active because of these scammers getting active taking advantage of these people desperate to earn money. The worst thing is that if you tell them that SEC already warned them about that specific project, they will just answer that it is fake.

That is how brainwashed some people are. There's this situation that people are supporting a scam against the government and when they realized they are supporting a scam, they are begging the government for their help wanting to throw that person in jail or just give back their money. Right now, the money is not given back and there are still a lot of people wanting that person to be in jail.

There would be many attempts of scamming that everyone can face in this crypto community and even in the real world. If the would-be someone who will gong to offer you money without a hard thing to do then you have to doubt it. There is no easy money in the crypto world, as well as the investment that offers 100% interest for only a few days, I've already encountered a lot of websites like that and still, there are many people who got scammed from it because of having to enough knowledge.
Most of the sscamsis offering easy money so better to avoid those things.

Nothing comes easy, you got to try and keep trying to make something work out for you, if you don't see life hardship as the way forward you will always look for easy way out and there is no such thing, every easy way out is fraud, a trap by scammers, have a mindset of getting paid for what you only worked for and things will be fine around you.

People who opt to choose this kind of method are also the ones who are newbies in the cryptocurrency world.

Unfortunately, bitcoin has been lately categorized as a scheme that involves making 'easy' and 'quick' money. However the truth is, investing involves significant amount of risk on the part of the investor. With this in mind, scammers are taking the opportunity by devising all kinds of schemes and scams just to take advantage of this bullish run.

I advise newbies that before they transact to any other persons on the internet, it is best to seek advice or to research first before delving deeper into this kind of scheme before losing any money!

Not just in the cryptocurrency industry. You can use that approach in any segment of life. You have to put in work, provide a service that your customers will be satisfied with, and only then enjoy the fruit of your labor. If you approach things from that perspective, you will understand that you can't jump over these first hurdles and go straight to earning your money.

A serious investment plan can show roughly how much the client could earn, or what has been the average in the previous years. But, it doesn't provide guarantees and promises of doubling the clients money. If you see that, it is always a sure sign that something is not right.

Since we are in cryptocurrency I really see that scammers are grabbing the opportunity that cryptocurrency is so famous right now due to the current pump happen as well local media hype placed recently that's why many newbies are so curious about it right now and the one needed to avoid by people is if they found the word  Sure profit,No scam, earn easy money and ear while you sleep is a big red flag for newbie, this common words used by scammers.

Wow, I just read it. That rat is surely a son of a bitch, but I wouldn't call him that dangerous. Well, if you fall into his trap, you're into some serious trouble, but there are some other scams that rarely surface and they're usually the worst. The internet is full of those scams that can be avoided by using your common sense, especially on the cryptocurrency field due to decentralization, but the dangerous ones are those that cannot be avoided that easily.

I'm talking about blackmailing. Whether if it's for a password or for something more important than money. This is when the scammer has got into your head and "plays" with your psychology. This one can't be avoided with common sense, if it can be avoided somehow.

With the rise in bitcoin's value, sewage rats have come out of their hiding trying to get a bite. But this particular rat doesn’t just want your breadcrumbs or your money. Oh no. He wants to get you into trouble with the law, and he wants you to be his scapegoat. He is the worst kind of rat from the deepest and darkest hole.

For those of you who browse the Services section, you might have noticed a new type of scam that is making its rounds. I don’t want to help the scammer by placing links to his threads, and I would like to ask all other members who comment in my thread not to do it either.

The thread in question is in direct conflict with Rule #17:
Quote
17. Trading of goods that are illegal in the seller's or buyer's country is forbidden.
Unofficial rules

How does the scam work?

The scammer promises his victims a quick get rich scheme. He doesn’t ask you for any money, and you don’t need to do any work. The only thing you need to do is give him access to your blockchain.com account. He will top if up with some bitcoin and send you a big chunk of it.

I know what you are thinking. How is this a scam? I get free bitcoin for doing nothing! When you see an offer like that, ask yourself the following questions:

1.   If it is that easy, why doesn’t he do it himself?
2.   Why does he need my account?
3.   Why doesn’t he make his family, friends, and everyone he knows rich?
4.   What makes me so special that he needs my help and my account?

To detect fraud, you don’t need specialised training, you only need a little bit of common sense. Be honest! Are you special? Do you possess a unique skill that only you have, and that this person can use to HELP YOU make a lot of money?

If you are honest to yourself, your answer is negative, and you feel this smells a bit like a scam, you are on the right path.

Thanks to another forum user who talked with this scammer, we now know what he was planning. What the scammer doesn’t mention in his topic is that he is using stolen credit cards to purchase bitcoin with your account! How does that sound for a quick little earner?

That is why he wants YOUR ACCOUNT. That’s what makes you special. You are the perfect person to get trapped and become an accomplice in credit card fraud. If your account is connected to your real name, and you performed KYC, you just committed credit card fraud in the eyes of the law.

Keep both eyes open and don’t believe everything you read!

I have encountered this situation before when I was a newbie. I had a Blockchain.com wallet back then, it’s my very first wallet (unfortunately I am stupid enough to lose my access), but good thing that wallet is empty. I remember that someone reached out to me asking for details of my Blockchain wallet claiming that he’s gonna deposit something and activate a bot that would “mine” some Bitcoins on it. Good thing that I have used my common sense by not just believing him instantly, because why would he need my wallet where he can just create his own? Common sense it is!
