The PCIe slot is likely dead, do not plug in anything to that PCIe slot. It is possible that the motherboard also died with it, but there is very little chance of this damaging the GPU - the USB cable that connects this pciex1 inset to the riser isnt designed to carry power, and can carry very little.

Disconnect all GPU's, see if the the computer is still booting. If it does, next try checking the GPU's individually. Do NOT even try to plug anything into the slot you burned, try the rest of the slots.

This is 2017 all over again Smiley this was a pretty common mistake for people to make back then.

OP already confirmed that the card is dead, tested in other motherboards with no display and even tested with onboard hdmi display, the card is a gonna already, there is 12v and 3.3v connect in the PCie slots, imagine turning that around, it will surely send unwanted current into the gpu

I'm guessing the same thing happened to majority of mining newbies in crypto space, you are not the first person that goes through the same thing it once happened to me in the past and today I don't dare make the same mistakes over again, there is first time for everything now that you have made this mistake you are one Step Closer to be a pro mining rig Builder
