Do I need private key or passphrase - ZIL/Binance

Hi,

I had been out of touch from cryptos for some time.

I exchanged ZIL from ETH on Binance.

I also don't remember that if I made any wallet, private key or passphrase for ZIL. My ZIL are still on Binance.

Please let me know will I be able to trade ZIL on Binance without knowing the private key or passphrase.

Do you use Binance or Binance DEX?

First Binance is not a wallet, it's a centralized exchanges so they'll not give you any private keys. All you need is email + password and 2FA (if you've set it)

If you use Binance DEX, then you need a private key or mnemonic phrase or keystore to access your wallet.

Since you said you've lost the private key or passphrase, it's no way to access your wallet. In short, you're loss your token.

Okay, just like I said above you need to remember about the email and password to able log in on your account.

If you didn't remember the password, you need to have access of your email and phone number to able change new password.

You dont own any coins when they are in centralized exchanges . They are all from a ledger. So you just need the exchange login details to withdraw them.

If you are using a DEX then you definitely need to know the passphrase

Thing is I got out of touch and these things are very risky. One small mistake and you are out of your assets.
