I'm trying to remember the name of an exchange that existed and was created here between 2012-2015.

It was written by like 16 or 17 year old user, that was pretty active on these forums. That user ended up having to shutdown the exchange due to legal issues or something.

I remember it was pretty big drama a few years back, but now I can't remember the exchange name even.

I've scrolled through the list, but honestly, I can't remember it.

Anyone remember this or have any idea what I'm talking about? Or am I just going crazy?

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Wrong board, move the topic to the exchanges section. If you don't know how, read: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5265053.0

Back to topic, are you referring to the catastrophic turn of events for inputs.io/Tradefortress? Ref: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=328053.0

Or? Any exchange from here: https://igaming.org/cryptocurrencies/closed-down-bitcoin-exchanges/

Nah, this is meta because I'm searching for a specific member of this forum technically; rather than trying to find offsite resource.

All the drama and everything occurred here on this site; not off-site or some 3rd party site.

Tradefortress doesn't seem to be the underage user. As far as I know, this exchange wasn't hacked, but instead it shut down and refunded everyone.

Well it seems like it got moved Tongue

Also, if you're looking for a specific user, then the thread probably belongs to Reputation if I had to guess. Meta is about the forum itself as a software/platform etc, and not about the users of the forum. The reason why your thread probably got moved to exchanges is because your topic is pretty vague.

Also going to need more hints than what you're currently offering. My brain is too doo-doo.

I'm not completely sure but I think I found it:

Note: I couldn't find the exact post that he/she mentioned about the age but a lot of people commented on the announcement thread that I linked earlier:
