In July, in about four months, as part of the improvements to Ethereum 2.0, it is expected that high gas prices will go away, if not forever, then for a long time.

It is what Ethereum users hope and ask for but it does not mean any upgrade will completely resolve it. If ETH 2.0 can resolve it, it will only be a solution for this period on Ethereum network and current adoption of Ethereum as well as ERC-20 tokens.

In the future, with bigger adoption for both ETH and ERC-20 tokens, I expect to see problems with network congestion and expensive fees again.

In the meantime for ETH 2.0 goes lively and reduce transaction fees, Binance Smart Chain attracts people and it grows quickly.

It's why I won't believe anything buterin vitalik says until they actually make it happened, miners and pool runners aren't happy with the EIP1559 and in few more weeks the battle against EIP1559 can begin, this isn't the perfect solution honestly

I know there are a lot of things regarding what Ethereum 2.0 could bring to the crypto world. It shouldn't be dismissed immediately with all the fuss. As long as it's going to improve the network and help crypto members, like me, to get a decent transaction fee that wouldn't hurt.

I haven't considered the part where people changed coins and probably switching up to BNB for the fees or something. Could that be the reason for it's multiple ATH recently?

Still a long way to go, but then again doesn't necessarily guarantee that in july the gas will be truly resolved.
Best course of action is just to move on from the eth blockchain from the time being because lets be honest here, none of us could wait 4 months just to send some shrimp amount of erc tokens and 4 months is just too long when it come to this so I guess it's already decided that whoever who wants to send their tokens out there just send right now or waiting for 4 months.

For BNB? Yes it is, even fee projects on erc20 have move to binance smart chain, a little drop of water can make a mighty ocean they say, ethereum gas fee is way too high for small time investors who have no thousand of dollars to invest on crypto projects, if few thousands of people invest just 100$ per each person on a project it's already huge money but high gas fee will ruin everything

The EIP1559 update is urgently needed by the Ethereum network, but knowing about the constant delays in the release of updates, I don't expect the gas problems to be solved until the end of this year. In the long term, the upgrade is very important and can bring the value of ETH to the new ATH.

The miners are not supporting it because obviously, they want to make more money.

The long wait for the EIP is just going to make us wait longer. It was speculated to happen last year but look at what we've gone through now because projects are already migrating to other smart-contract chains. the major problem will be if the market bullrun continues the gas prices will be going in for much higher rate and the time from now to july its still a long periode and a lot can happen.
if you look at the gas fees rate going in day by day that shit going expenential.
sending anything below 100usd worth in erc20 token is not worth it only whales can still do whatever they want.
the EIP1599 upgrade surely it will help but it needs to be fast tracked two weeks ago they sad it will be implemented in march but now who knows when after those  delays.

We're hopeful for that resolution for the high gas fees. Because if there were cheaper fees for each transaction, there will be a massive transaction that can happen from day to day.
And those projects that have chosen other chains don't have to migrate with those and will choose Eth's smart contract because the solution has been made for high fees.

Yeah very likely when the time comes they will have a reason to postpone and give excuse, July is not very far, about 4 month from now, lets hope this time they will be able to keep their promise, in the main time, users will continue to endure the high transaction fee till when the issue is rectified by July (if it will actually happen).

Between why will they be against the eip1559! if the improvement system is the solution to this problem why not support it, except there is a hidden agenda behind, probably they are benefiting from the high gas shit.

Honestly I have stopped looking for any promises made in eth 2.0 . It's gonna get here when it's gonna get here ..there have been so many delays already and I am fed up like the rest of the people.

Sounds like you are 💯 sure about this, ethereum dev and team have let me down few times already and not ready to place another bet on this one, EIP1559 might still be postponed again or even get cancelled, don't trust anything these people says until they make it happened

I hope so because if these problems stay for long I believe it might cost Ethereum a lot, Thats why they should find any immediate solution to the problem because many users are already pissed including me I wish to jump in BSC or Tron but my Holdings was still in ERC20 thats why I can't do anything for now but to wait and slowly released my token if the gas price was reduced.
