CryptoCoin was created as a learning tool for a group of Irish computer science students in 2021 and is growing to become a true and true cryptocurrency community. The coin was initially forked from Swap (XWP) as we liked the clean codebase and simplicity of it's algorithm (Cryptonight Superfast), as we learn the ins and outs of a cryptocurrency project we hope to create some innovations of our own, so stay tuned!

I don't know if they can fix all the reds here, but I believe most of the reds are because of the miner, so maybe false-positives.
However, if you want to be safe from potential risks, just compile your own wallet.
This project is like a test for them as they are still students, so nothing much to be expected. I guess.
Even their site is not yet secure. So they are just starting to discover what needs to be done in crypto.

It looked interesting so I joined the Discord, and in the trading channel the lead developer was saying that €1k is too expensive to get the coin listed on an exchange. I think it goes without saying, €1,000 is not very much money when you're developing a new coin, so I said "If you're serious about the coin, €1k is like a pence to a pound".

The developer, when responding to my concern that he isn't serious about the coin, does he say something reasonable? For example, "Yes I'm serious about the coin and as time goes on, paying money to have the coin listed on exchanges will not be as much of an obstacle in the near future." Or anything like that? Does he attempt to assure me, the investor, that I should invest? No. He asks me if I'm a developer and what coins I've made, then I said "We're talking about CryptoCoin and I'm not developing CrpytoCoin, you are." He kicked me from the Discord server.

So even though it's clear that this developer isn't prepared to answer questions, I will ask this. Why did you post on this forum if you're not ready for public release and have no interest in fielding questions and concerns from investors?

Edit: To clarify, by investor, I'm referring to the investment of GPU hashing.

Yeah the fix for that is to go into settings -> info -> change wallet restore height to 0.

And yes antivirus programs always have issues with crypto software.

Ok well you are barking up the wrong tree, this is a clone of SWAP by students who are learning, I have made no changes to the codebase, if you know about any security or reliability issues with the SWAP codebase you should let their devs know: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5083455.0

Currently we are not experiencing any issues with our blockchain so it would appear to me that this is a non-issue.

a coin with no purpose at all? Why then publish on Bitcointalk? I understand if now it was 2012-2015, but now it is 2021 and the fork of the coin for "Just like that" who should be interested in besides yourself? Why is all this then? I would advise developers to find a community manager and a person with ideas that the developers could try to create. It's much more fun for everyone. And more productive even for learning. Just a little update for those who aren't in our discord, due to the lack of options when it comes to exchange listing, or the exorbitant prices people expect devs to pay for listings I decided to build my own exchange for cryptocoin. There will be no pairs such as BTC:LTC or LTC:ETH, only pairs for cryptocoin and other small coins that apply for listing. For new/small coins I will be offering listings for very affordable prices.

I've been following the project from day 1 and believe it is a good genuine project. Remember this was initially made for learning but it's also turning to have a very potential future. Devs are working on their own exchange and the network is growing daily. Issues get sorted fast and it's all working fine. No project runs perfectly! The dev pay when there's any payments pending on their pool.

What are you talking about? if you have been in our discord you would have seen that the algo change didn't happen as it was supposed to at block 555,555 and we are trying to figure out why. I have been talking to swap devs and they said it was a hard fork for them so we will have to figure out how to do that, because you know, we've never done this before and it's all learning!

An update on the algorithm change, we expected the fork to happen at block 555,555 the same as SWAP but it did not happen, we ended up deciding that we are going to stick to cryptonight superfast as this will make our coin unique as there are no other coins with our algorithm.

It will be great as currently most graphics cards can mine our coin and if the algo change had happened it would have been 4GB+ only!

It's far from abandoned, and you haven't explained your issue very well? what are you trying to say?
