It's not because I do not believe you but I believe that there should be some evidence that you have to provide because recovered accounts are unlikely to me and it can be a good cover story for someone who just recently bought an account and they do not want to raise suspicion that could lead to scrutiny.

if I am correct, admin/staff can easily check if the account was actually recovered/unban/unlocked through the modlogs(I think). you can ask them for confirmation if the account was actually recovered by the actual owner.

also, checking around someone did report that the account was hacked around October 2018 Bitcoin Hero has been Reactivated - Sebdude420=Hacked

Any proof that exist would be with the team dealing with account recoveries.
There is a specific procedure that has to be respected when a user wants to recover his account. The two most important steps of an account recovery is being able to sign a message from an address that was posted and remains unedited on Bitcointalk, and emailing the team from the original email address the account was registered with. I am sure exceptions can be made, but that is usually how the process looks.

OP can probably sign a message and post it here so that those who have doubts can see it.

If there was no proof then I believe the recovery team wouldn't have recovered the account. I am one of the people who got my account recovered getting hacked. There are specific requirements needed if your account is to be recovered.

From the original email address to comparing IP address logs before and after the account was hacked. So the fact that he was able to get back his account means that he'
s the rightful owner. No need for further "verification"

He was probably trying to say that he now has access to his account after 4 years of being locked out of it. The Bitcointalk account recovery team didn't even exist 4 years ago.
OP was hacked in December 2017, so that is closer to 3 years. But it's not so important.

Well the story is pretty crazy to be honest. It went like this.

My SIM card Phone number was Simjacked/Ported from Tmobile >> ATT, The attacker got my Phone number. Started to use SMS recovery on everything they could. I tried hacking my accounts back. In the final hours after they had my facebook account and were impostering me, i went to FB offices in LA and took the police with me to get my account back. It was messy.

I restored all my accounts, and hadnt lost any money. the money accounts were all behind 2fa/HWM non sms, so they stole some money from my friends on facebook asking for BTC loans to buy some shitcoins.

SO. The SOLUTION to this problem, SIMJACKING, which can be done by Rogue Employees at Telecoms, Is to change your PIN PORT AUTHORITY to a NON DEFUALT PIN. The DEFAULT pin is YOUR LAST FOUR OF your SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBer.

SSN all Leaked, They find a prominant bitcoiner and they attack, Michael Terpin was the biggest target to get hit, probably by the same simjacking ring that him me. It happend around the same time, 2017 TOP.

SO< LESSON > CHANGE YOUR PHONE NUMBER PORT AUTHORIITY PIN CODE + ADD FRUAD PREVENTION FOR ANY ACCOUNT CHANGES TO TELECOM CELL PHONE > ID VERIFICATION + FRAUD PREVENTION . Max out the security on that shiet. or else, you blow up and make a name for yourself they coming for you. All day 247 im being attacked by hackerfoos.

Lets see what else, 2015-2017 i basically took a hiatus, thats why i didnt maintain presence.

nowadays i just mess around on tezos, run a validator on a few networks, no  more energy intensive mining operations, some people ask me for research work, or developing things,

most of the times i just look for exploits and try to cash in on them for bounties, its fun and pays decent.

BPIP confirms you recovered your account last year. If it's good enough for the recovery team, it's good enough for me.

What's interesting is that you didn't make a single post again after you created this topic (more than 14 months ago), until today. And today you started by resetting your password, just like in 2018.
So if you're still the same owner, I'd say you need a password manager

For this exact reason, I've disabled phone recovery anywhere I can, starting by my email. Unfortunately, more and more banks now move to SMS authentication too. I can keep my passwords safe, but I can't help it if my phone company makes a mistake.

It was up and down. Most of my investments didnt work out well. Instead I got job offers and did development work to get gains. Actively investing in Tezos now. its been fun using tezos.

I got my own token, DAO, NFT platform, DEX, Staking Farms, its damn easy to fork code, alter it a bit, and throw it up. Running a validator on tezos and some solana fork called Velas.
