How do you define rich?

Anyone that is from a First World Country... like the US or Canada... I think anyone with 3 million dollars would easily be defined as rich.  Don't most agree with that?  If not... then the world is very comfortable?

I think everyone will answer differently in determining what is meant by rich, rich is unlimited depending on the perspective of each. in my opinion, someone who can be said to be rich is someone who can realize what they need in their life. but there are also those who mean that the definition of rich is someone who has a lot of money and they always collect as much money as possible. they are already rich but they cannot enjoy it because they are busy accumulating wealth. sometimes other people think we are rich people, but we still feel not rich. so rich is relative, depending on the mindset of each person.

Rich can't be defined by the amount of money which they have. For me, rich can be considered for them who have enough money to spend which they desire, having healthy life, having peace in mind. Only money can't bring happiness. So, if you are rich but not happy with your life, you are nothing to the world and your existence will not be effective for others. I think happiness is all for us whether you re rich or not.

Do not confuse "rich" and "wealth". All rich people are well-off people, but not all well-off people are rich. As they say, money is evil, but when you need to make purchases, this evil is not enough, so a large amount of money is still necessary to show the status of a rich man. There is no clearly defined border and certain rules that distinguish between poverty and wealth, but if this person is included in the Forbes lists, we can say with absolute certainty that this is a really rich person.

While other people think of being rich as having tons of money from their hardwork, but for me a rich person is something that has a golden spoon on the table since birth. People like this won't do anything to sustain their wealth because he's rich already from the day he was born. There are also some people who considered themselves rich because they are contented already on the love and affection they are receiving from the people around them.

For me being rich means you wouldn't have any financial problem you could eat anything you want any time you want.
You wouldn't have problem for emergency cases like hospital bills or any other emergency case that you would face.

We don't compare it with others, this will be very difficult because everyone must be different in their income, therefore I only think about how to get rich in your own way with a large income with our hard work, so in every region how the condition is, Even people with big money can be said to be rich and don't even have any shares or property, so from that the comparison is always different, for sure we have to be able to produce more with what we want to be rich.

Indeed, there will be no end because humans will never have enough. The true definition of rich is to feel satisfied with what they already have. Happiness is number one. Money can buy everything, but money cannot be used as a buyer of complete happiness.

Yes. People have different mindset on being rich and even myself, although i don't have bundles of bitcoin in my pocket but i considered myself a rich person. I know i'm rich because i'm contented enough of what i have right now and i never look for what i don't have. You know the secret to be rich is not being greedy so you can have all the wealth you desire but being a selfless person so you can be an instrument for other people to become rich too.

I agree.  There are people who have a lot of money but always feel that there is not enough, so they are always looking for it again and again.  It's different if we have a rich heart, no matter how much money we have, it will be enough, making us always grateful.  in fact, it is not the cost of living that is expensive, but the lifestyle.  if you indulge in your lust, it won't be enough because the target will always increase.

Richness is subjective so once you can have that sense of satisfaction with what you have, you can consider yourself to be Rich because you are happy in that space and everything seems to work out with what you have because if you look at it from the other angle, even the ones you might refer to as been rich are still looking for more, so richness doesn't have limit IMO

I'm sure that if you will be able to achieve that point of not going to work anymore you would definitely ask for more in your life. Greed is part of our human nature and when one reaches a certain point, we want to achieve more like travelling to different countries and buying some luxurious items that honestly we don't need in our daily life and that is not a bad thing for me. The definition of being rich for me is spending your wealth like it's nothing to help other people without expecting any return.

I still can't believe that some people have such high expectations about rich. I mean not having to deal with economical problems in your life is more than enough for me to consider someone rich.

I do not mean yacts and buildings or whatever, I mean literally not having any debt and living a regular life, nothing to envy, just a regular life, maybe a decent house, nothing fancy totally regular and unnoticeable house, not a shithole neither but a proper at most 20 year old apartment flat would be more than enough, even in the most expensive nations that is like 100k to 300k (except very very expensive cities) and if you have a car and can get a new one once every 8 years or so, and not have any debt while living a probably frugal life like not spending too much on things but not having any problems if you face any emergency, those are good things and 99% of the people in the world do not consider that as rich, I think that's rich.

That is kind of rich, because you are living well and within your means, however you still depend a lot on working and if I am reading you right, thus you do not own your own time. So that compares well with people who live in a shithole, have less income that adequate, do not have a good means of transport etc...

I guess that I want to say that this is not rich for me. It requires a degree of independence and freedom to enjoy your time, not necessarily buying expensive stuff.

If I have 10 million dollars I can do whatever I want and I wouldn't ever need money ever again, some people look for houses that worths at least 10 million dollars, so as you can see there are differences, for me about 200k for a house is more than enough, that would be a very decent house as well and not like some small flat neither, and I can get one for my parents as well near me so 400k for houses, rest could go to bank for interest and I could basically live with the rest of that easily, we are talking about at least 9 million dollars even if I find a way to spend the other 600k, and the interest of that would be more than enough for me to live happily ever after.

BUT there are some people who would see 10 million as not nearly enough and want more, we all do the same, have a house, have our family, pay for everything we "need" and yet the numbers are so different.

In the world we live in our life revolve in money. People works hard to earn money and some do bad for money. It's absurd but yeah for me my kind of definition of rich was the way people are spending their wealth usually a liesure one, spending on their properties and luxurious lifestyle. But there also some rich people alive that doesn't have a very luxurious life, no more liesure times and liesure trips and life but still rich. And at some point I do consider some people rich already if they have manage to earn for themselves $10,000 -$12,5000 a month or having an assets of real state investment and a bank account of $25,000 up.
