It's nice that you found what you really like though it can be risky since trading is not always have a positive outcome especially the market is volatile.
The good thing is that you hold your time working and you have more time with your family.
I was planning to quit my job too but I'm thinking that it might be risky to have no job at all especially during this pandemic.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Congratulations buddy.
Quitting a full time job to focus on trading is one of the most courageous thing anybody can do in the century. I wouldn't be surprised if your name is in the Guinness book of record, lol.
I bet you must have had a huge capital to begin with. Arbitraging coins doesn't really give much profits so making over a hundred thousand dollars in less than two months is huge.
I think you should create an article where you'll explain how you did achieve this feat so that many of us can also learn

In the past month and a half i've made over 100k arbing different markets and developing a very hard-to-beat strat. I submitted my resignation to my full time job last week . Wish me luck.

Long live crypto.  Cool

Update and some answers to your questions :https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5321029.msg56477603#msg56477603

This is a bold decision and I wish you the best of luck. In 2017, like you, I left full-time work and started working in crypto. Working with crypto has helped me get more money than my previous job and really appreciate it. However, you need to understand that the crypto market is also not stable and you need to always have a backup plan. However, crypto can provide good profits and perhaps for people like you and me this is an opportunity to be in crypto and quit full-time jobs.

Only a few people are real professionals when it comes to crypto trading. Since crypto market is so volatile it is very hard to gain consistent profits.
On top of that, if you are so confident that you decide to resign from your day job then you must have earned really good profits.
I would only say that if you have really earned consistent profits for a long time only then consider leaving your day job and go full time crypto trading.
Otherwise it might be a bad decision if you just get profits in volatility.

Of course the OP will surely have a back up to his trading journey having earned a whooping profit of $100K within a short period of time is indeed a big feat I am sure the OP will divert some the profits earned to other investment in case the trading hits the rock however the OP seems to have a good trading strategy that work well.
It is a tough decision for quitting the job for trading maybe having realized that profits earned from trading outweighs his monthly salary.

Sometimes it all takes some action for us to know whether we can make it or not. If we’re confident enough that we have skills in trading and able to gain profit from it we can weight which opportunity fits us best. Since it may work for others but not on us. When we decide we must know our capabilities if we can really do it well to avoid regrets in the future.

Congratulations on your new journey, OP. I also did the same thing 3 years ago and I didn't regret my decision because I'm earning more than the salary that I get for working more than 8 hours a day. I'm not saying that quitting a job is always a good decision. There are still things that we have to consider before switching to crypto and it includes our skills, knowledge and enough capital for a good start.

This is really needing lots of trial and error because you wouldnt know if you wont try which means this will really needing some time and effort for you to find out.

Quitting full time job is something a risky thing to be done unless if you can really sustain yourself on trading which simply means you can actually quit since
you do know that you can handle up yourself.
What an amazing thing for someone for able to achieve.

Trading is a big challenge so, good luck to you. If you think that trading will make you rich or give you more profit than a regular fulltime worker, then just enjoy it but don't be greedy to avoid losses. You have a great strategy, hopefully I can also such great trading strategy to gain huge profit in the future.
For OP to have choose the job of his trading cryptos to his full time job means he's not just a first timer into the wold of cryptocurrencies. Arbitrade for those who understand the chemistry knows what profit they can get from one successful trade, so, am happy for OP decision if his move are positives in this regards.

I won't recommend leave your job except maybe you made it really big before, if not then maybe you started with a very big capital and you have some profit aside in case you need to fall back

Well, you have a point there, --before a long time ago [2years passed perhaps] I can able to manage to trade and for a while managing my self from my job. Since I am not in the field and I am in the office and have free internet, I can able monitor my trade within an hour but the problem is, I can't focus it very well. So I decided to quit day trading and I prefer to long-time trade or in holding on to top cryptocurrencies in the market cap. I realized that I have a stable job and I have a stable profit from my salary why I would give up. This is your chance to have enough capital in investing in crypto and it is very risky if you were a full-time job on crypto because it is the unpredictable price and very volatile.

He wont really be making such decision if he's aren't sure on what he's doing. Its just too risky when you leave out your job just because you do make out big profits
one time with your trades. He might already have noticed or observed that he had been making profits not perfectly but on a sustainable way which would really be
enough for him to be sure that he would go full time.Only a few would able to manage on becoming full time job with trading because not all turns out to be
profitable from time to time.I was bit jealous of this guy. Cry

Finding what you like to do with rest of your life is something very difficult, money is not actually as difficult as that if you ask me.

Let's say you found something that you love to do, you want to do it 7/24 every day and it is not a bother for you, and you have done this a while as well, because sometimes things you think you love to do become things you hate over time as well, many hobbies become a difficult task after a while, but I believe if we are in a situation where if we do the work for a while and find out that it is our dream work, even if we bankrupt doing that, we can always recover over long term because knowing what you want to do is more valuable and if you are actually good at it you will eventually make money with it. I believe if you have a talent, it can't be hidden, eventually it will come out and help you with your life.

It is nice but to everyone who reads this and is also naïve to think that they can do it too, heed my warning, everyone has different circumstances and you can't have the same results as OP.

I hope your journey to the cryptocurrency will be good and you will earn a good profit. Because actually the idea of quitting your job is bad idea for me because there is no assurance that you will earn more money in the future because market is volatile and they have time you will get a good profit and they have time you lost so better also to having a job so you will have double income so incase you lost money in trading you still have job and you will earn salary which is regularly.

In this topic, we always see a clear distribution between those who are adventurous and those who prefer to live in a safe zone, and we are both part of a group of people who like to feel safe and don't like to take risks because  we don't have enough confidence in our knowledge and experience, one failure is enough for us to become discouraged with this full-time job. Fast profit has never been equal to a steady job, with a steady salary every month, we can comfortably and afford to invest while full-time with trading is very stressful, every day we have to think of ways to make a profit with any market state

It's nice that you found what you really like though it can be risky since trading is not always have a positive outcome especially the market is volatile.
It is nice but to everyone who reads this and is also naïve to think that they can do it too, heed my warning, everyone has different circumstances and you can't have the same results as OP.
Yeah, that's right. Not all meant to become a trader, not all have been successful in this field, and many had also suffered losses as they are underestimating trading is very easy. Quite they know how hard is that especially when the bearish season comes.

If OP has to decide to leave his job for this, that gonna be a tough decision but this actually how we find better opportunities, and we need to sacrifice. Well, I hope he is not wrong, and never blames himself in the end coz many did this.

Wishing for you as well, I am looking forward to a new endeavor that you prefer to choose right now. It quite tough decision to make, and I appreciate that kind of dedicated since we don't know what's going to be the outcome when we rely on ourselves all alone. Trading as our career alternative should be done with lesser error in order to prosper for our future goals for financial stability.

For someone on making decisions like this then they would normally making out those considerations before finalizing their choice in the end because people do know on whats the risk behind
on exchange your day job with trading when it comes to security of making money then we know on how risky trading is.This is why we should really be careful on making out decisions on our life
if we do see that this one is beneficial and would really improve someones life then go ahead and engage with it but to know that theres no looking back once the decision had been made.
