I don't think it is so common nowadays to lose their seed... Today, however, everyone is more careful.

You’re right that awareness has increased, but as a QHSE (Quality & Safety) student, I can tell you: the Human Factor is the most unpredictable variable in any security system.

We can have the best encryption in the world, but if the "user interface" (our brain) suffers from a "system crash" due to stress or simple aging, the data is gone forever. It’s the ultimate Single Point of Failure.

Back in 2011, losing a seed was a "whoops" moment. Today, with the current prices, it's a Tragedy. In the future, it might be a National Emergency for your personal estate!

I guess the best security protocol is still: Write it down, hide it well, and don't get hit by a bus! 🚌

What do you think is the best "non-digital" way to ensure our heirs can access the seeds without us being there to forget the password?

Password is one special code that requires serious concentration not to be confused, as confusion can make one forget it. Everyday in life, the life has different challenges to present to everyone as if its a well programed activities,  so if multiple Password is used it will be very easy for it to be forgotten because once a man's state of mind is not balanced everything can be possible especially forgetting our Passwords. Apart from confusion,  constant changing of passwords is also one of the reasons we can easily forget our passwords.  Anyone that is used to changing of passwords is vulnerable to losing consistency in remembering his password

The big issue isn't usually having multiple password it's depending on memory alone using strong unique password for different accounts in much safer and a power manager or secure offline backbeat make them much easier to manage without having to remember every singles one.  Stress and consistently make changing password can definitely make them harder to remember . at the same t time, reusing one password everywhere creates a big security risk.

I don't think it is so common nowadays to lose their seed, although it is inevitable that little by little some of them will continue to be lost.
Just as you said, nowadays it is very rare to lose seed but back then they were not aware of these things and were careless. I have a friend who had also lost his seed and is now regretting on his carelessness. But nowadays people are very careful and they secure their wallets before investing. And also we all now have better knowledge about the wallets as compare to back then. Even nowadays a begginer would create and secure his wallet first.
But I want to ask a question, what if a person with all his investment died and only he knows about his accounts, wallets or seeds, would it be easy for his/hers relatives like son, daughter, wife or may parents to recover all his belongings? And if they does who would keep it?
