Aiming for that higher multiplier will cost you a lot of money so be careful on chasing that. Playing Plinko is quiet ok for me, not that fun but it can also be profitable if you’re lucky enough. I don't think the speed of the ball (caused by interference from the client side) has anything to do with the outcome. The outcome of each bet is calculated from the server side via a provably fair algorithm and the result is already known at the time you click play. The system can experience an error, but it will hard to find that moment, and maybe other people will get that moment. Plinko is a dice game based on luck and needs more time to win much money. Sometimes I wonder why we have to answer all of this over and over again, I have come to the conclusion that most people are in fact not gambling for fun and in fact they want to earn money with their hobby, and we know that except for a few people here and there most people lose money over the long term in gambling, and for people like us which understand that winning long term is impossible we still do it because we have it under control and there is not risk for us to lose too much of our capital since we understand the nature of the games.

Exactly as far as I know the ball drops like a real plinko ball drops so I think that there is no strategy in that maybe the only strategy that works is what @Jating says, quit while you are ahead.
