Must be the angle because that’s the “entry” height which is as low as it can go. Today for the first time I lifted it up and was surprised how high it can go. Not sure it would make it out of my garage without clipping the door when lifted.

Got the windows tinted today. Now I can ignore people at stoplights who want me to roll down my window in peace.

Edit: Got bumper protectors installed along with fingerprint-less door handles today.  Also removed the rear view mirror.

I decided to have a little fun today when I was out running errands so I pulled into a gas station and parked at a pump. Then I got out and pretended to look for where to put the gasoline in. It took people a minute, but they started noticing and pulling out their phones. I had a good laugh and I’ll probably end up on the internet somewhere. I thought it was hilarious though and will be doing it again.

2-way charging is now installed in my garage along with a nice charger hanger so I can pop out of my car and easily plug it in to charge without worrying about long dangling cords.

I thought I’d share this image from my Tesla app. It is showing the Cybertruck & Powerwall being charged by my solar array while my house operates normally (even running a solo Bitcoin miner). All done off the grid. I’m really impressed with all the options available to control various charging methods. For now I have decided to charge the Cybertruck only with excess solar energy instead of putting it back into the grid.

I recently bought a Maeving electric motocycle and power it with a portable Anker Solix solar panel. I love riding around on free energy.



It's a shame Elon is such anti-bike as they could have cornered the market easily. They've got a cyberquad so they should have done a cyberbike.

This is my first time encountering this thread, so first of all, congratulations! Although I'm not a fan of the Cybertruck, I'd go with a Model S or Model 3 if I had the option. I admire what you've done with your Tesla configuration. With solar panels to power your home and charge your vehicle, your Cybertruck basically runs on free power, something that is impossible with any internal combustion engine. Who else has a fully fueled car in the morning at zero cost?

Whether we like it or not, electric vehicles are here to stay, and they're the future in the automobile industry. In the next few years, more and more affordable options will start rolling out, providing a larger variety for consumers.

It’s fast as hell. That can’t be stated enough. After reading all the online horror stories I was expecting my truck to have lots of issues when I got it, but so far I haven’t found a single thing wrong. It’s just an awesome vehicle.

I really like the stainless steel and want to keep it as long as I can stand it, but the fingerprints make it a challenge. I’ll probably wrap it eventually, but I’ll be sad to lose the steel look. I absolutely love it.

After reading all the online horror stories I was expecting my truck to have lots of issues when I got it, but so far I haven’t found a single thing wrong. It’s just an awesome vehicle.

The problems are always inflated over the internet. That usually means that some were unlucky. Nowadays no production line is perfect.
I tend to read such things by numbers, meaning it can give a clue on the odds to get a faulty item.

I've considered it somewhat ugly at the start, by the images. It was years ago, when it was only a prototype. Now I consider it only impressive and somewhat rough, but not ugly.
And imho those stickers @hilariousetc has posted can make it nice and more "car looking" for those who want to get more main stream.
However, as I said, it's a matter of taste and I would not get in touch to tell anybody his car is ugly, no matter I like it or not. That would be rude.

I’m trying to select a good vanity plate for this monster. I was tempted to put HODLED on a plate but I think it would just confuse people. I really wanted GAS LOL but it is already taken. If anybody has any good suggestions for a vanity plate on a sun powered tank that’s faster than a Porsche, feel free to share them.

I got a vanity plate and a ridiculous amount of accessories. Most of which were cool but some were sent back. I’ll have to list them all at some point, maybe. The windows are now all tinted to around 13% so they match and I’m nice and private. I’m also loving the new park assist features.

My next decision is what color wrap. I initially wanted Obsidian Red but it can appear an ugly orange color in artificial light and after seeing some blue ones around I’m now leaning towards Tanzanite Blue. Any thoughts on either?

I'm sure some are especially from Elon/Tesla haters but it's such a unique vehicle with a unique production I think there are bound to be growing pains in the production process and there have been some valid concerns. I'd still like one but I'd deffo wait a while until they've ironed out all the kinks.

I'd go with blue personally. The midnight blue Ferraris are really nice.

Yesterday morning I woke up thinking blue, but then last night I decided on red again. I guess that means I’m not ready to make a decision. I am leaning more towards red currently though. Tesla’s logo is red and I think the red looks mean while the blue looks pretty. I guess for now I’m still on fingerprint patrol.

Here’s a pic I got from the shop. It’s home safe now and looking great. Really customized inside and out. I’m happy with the color and how it changes from black to purple to red to orange based on the light. Gives it a real unique feeling and look. I’ll miss the stainless steel look, but I won’t miss the fingerprints. Wrapping is a must.
