POWER is issued by Votelab SAS a “société à mission” and can be used to pay for all voting operations on Civicpower.io as well as for all of the other services provided by the platform already available or planned in the roadmap.
POWER token can be used by the entire Civicpower’s ecosystemcurrently under development, including all European « Civtech » startups offering democracy or participatory budgeting services.
POWER holders will be able to :
- actively participate in the advent of an independent consensus tool, guarantee of a democratic vote free of charge for private users & members of associations
- use it to create proof of vote for them or their clients, which is available in the form of a digital certificate issued from the Precedence blockchain,
- sell it in order to realize profit created under the pressure of the deflationary system, caused by POWER ''buy back and burn'' program
- pay services on the platform with a discount program that will evolve over time
- be a beta tester of the next premium features,
- vote on the orientations of the project’s roadmap.
We issue 50 000 000 POWER, this amount of token is fixed, there will be no creation of new POWER tokens in the future.Precedence: To allow end-to-end integrity of our ballots, data are proved in public protected blockchains.
But it was not enough to allow performance and cost optimisation.
It’s why Civicpower’s platform is based on Precedence, our open-source blockchain stack using Merkle Patricia Tree to structure proven digital vote at scale. - scalability: our platform can handle x10000 transactions per seconds,
- proof-of-asset: the cryptographic proof of existence of the vote, time-stamped and signed, allow us to deliver and commit ourselves on a unique and anonymous vote certificate,
- public ledger: proof of the integrity of the vote that is unalterable and verifiable by the voter,
- digital signature: an individual digital signature will soon be available.

It begins on May 15th, 2021 at midnight Central European Time (CET).The period from May 15th to maximum May 22nd is reserved for subscribers of the "whitelist".

What is the price of the $POWER token during the presale and public sale?

i think you need to consider your project also in BSC as the fees in eth is still an issue to most users. but if you can wait for what may happen this april for eth network, see if there will be improvement in their gas efficiences. btw, have you pitched this project to any government nearest to your jurisdiction? even in a small town or city, that can test your network? i think that would be great if you can present to us your guinea pig and see if you are successful with this new voting platform? |

Is that right, 1200 eth is the softcap for the project? I don't know what kind of marketing strategy you are using to support the funding, but that's a huge amount of money while eth at this time is soaring high. How about the ICO duration, how many weeks is it planned to last?
I see 96% token is for sale and the rest for promotion, to touch the softcap it seems you guys need to sale at least 12M token.

I see 96% token is for sale and the rest for promotion, to touch the softcap it seems you guys need to sale at least 12M token.
Yes, absolutely 1200 eth, we already have +700 eth of promise and good traction but it remains a big challenge indeed in these troubled times! Our "real" buy back & burn (we have no hidden reserve to burn) create a direct link between our turnover and the value of the tokens which is reassuring for our community. We have not yet set the ICO period, the private sale starts on 4/30.

This is also our feeling on eth & bsc indeed. Our techno is based on Precedence from inBlocks ( https://github.com/inblocks/precedence) which allows a sidechain with end-to-end cryptographic proof via patrica merkle tree so the cost impact will remain limited even on massive votes of several million participants. For the test at the national level in France they do not listen to us while nobody knows how we are going to vote for the "Regional" elections in June... On the other hand, we have 3 town halls in preparation, two of which have more than 20,000 inhabitants. Our tests are quite satisfactory but indeed we will share with you the evolution of our baby ...

it is a French company which was created under the name of votelab in October 2020 and which changed its name in March 2021 to become civic power. they ask for the soft cap 1200 ETH while they have deposited only 1024 euro of capital in the company.

Hello, it's not exact. The company is VOTELAB SAS https://www.societe.com/societe/votelab-890026974.html and initial name was "CIVIC POWER SAS". This change was to avoid any confusion between CIVICPOWER the non profit association https://www.journal-officiel.gouv.fr/associations/detail-annonce/associations_b/20200048/1401 and the company. The POWER utility token is linked to the revenues of the company VOTELAB SAS as explained in the whitepaper. You are right no link between the capital and fundraising, I assume you make the difference btw working capital and share capital. |
