Registered in 2011, but due to the account hack, I can't recover my old account without also recovering my bitcoin wallets, which is why I wanted to come back to the forums.

Making this post to help with my account status and hopefully I can post more often and more frequent soon!
The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Is this your account? joeyjoe - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=38643

....but due to the account hack,
Last post was 2014 but the account was last active 2 days ago. I also didn't see indication of password change. It doesn't look like it was stolen. When did you found out that it was hacked?

You probably ended up on the forum of ordinary people, not psychics Smiley. Try to write your account here, and to recover, go through all the steps that are described in this topic. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5089777.0

Looks like you mentioned one bitcoin wallet address in one of your old the post and post is not edited.

Now if you can sing a message with above address you have chances of recovering your account. Just follow the steps mentioned below

If your account was hacked

Email recoveries_2021_xxlgg@bitcointalk.org, ideally from the account's email address. Include your username and a brief description of the details of how/when the account was hacked. A signature will likely be required (see below).

I am not saying you're just pretending(sorry if I offend or something) but it's weird that your old account suddenly logged in 2 days ago and now a new account saying that his old account was hacked. anyway, you should follow what shahzadafzal posted if you want to reclaim your hacked account. good luck

If I'm not mistaken, the authorization system reacts to an attempt to log into an account, but at the same time does not give control over it, (I guess this happens under certain circumstances, although I did not go into details). Maybe I'm paranoid, or it really seemed to me, but when I forgot my password and tried to reset it, I thought that my account was hacked because I also saw similar activity.

It's possible his account got hacked way back before Bitcointalk profile information sites like BPIP.org started capturing profile data such as password change dates, so there is no easy way of knowing if the password was changes before or not.

But If OP has a genuine claim. He can recover his account if he follows the instructions.

That was my attempt to log in, which instantly displays: "Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum!
Your account is locked because it sat inactive for years after the password hashes were leaked in 2015, and was therefore at high risk of being hacked. Email reactivate_2019_*****@bitcointalk.org to get it unlocked."

I will try regain access to my wallets, but not being able to access my wallets is why I wanted to come back to this forum.

Though my situation might have been a little different from yours. I managed to recover my account after the recoveries team found compelling evidence that my account had been hacked minus a staked bitcoin address or signed message. You, too, can try sending them a message from the original email you used to registered your account and include all the necessary information that can help them determine that the account was indeed hacked. You could get lucky  Smiley

read the posts above. it was mentioned there that the account in question was logged in days before the OP created the current account he is using now and made a claim that his account was hacked.

If I'm not mistaken, the authorization system reacts to an attempt to log into an account, but at the same time does not give control over it, (I guess this happens under certain circumstances, although I did not go into details). just to clear things up. are you saying that if someone made an attempt to access an account and failed the "last active" will be updated and will show "today"?

Just follow the recovery instructions, you should be able to get your account back. Global Mod hilariousandco can unluck locked accounts too if you convince him you own it.

from what I know it shouldn’t... beside on what he said above

"Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum!
Your account is locked because it sat inactive for years after the password hashes were leaked in 2015, and was therefore at high risk of being hacked. Email reactivate_2019_*****@bitcointalk.org to get it unlocked."

That means he can open it freely though the only issue is he has limited access due for being banned.
If it was just attempting then he shouldn’t be able to see that and just be on the log in page.
As from what I see here he refers to “accessibilty” on the activity which will not restrict him from posting on this forum.
