Ethereum can still stay above $1k until the end of the year and right now, this seems like a test for ethereum can really hold on and even increase bit by bit. Ethereum could rise again and if it now looks like ethereum is following bitcoin it is because bitcoin itself is surviving the downturn that could happen. But if bitcoin weakens and eventually declines, ethereum will surely experience the same thing. We still have a few weeks to see if ethereum holds onto $1k or drops below $1k. Let's just hope that doesn't happen.

True.  All of crypto just follows what BTC is doing but with higher price volatility.  That's why a lot of folks make a lot more money holding alts than holding everything in BTC.  Like DOGE which out performed BTC by a lot.  Many of you guys who started buying DOGE at the lows around .00000015 prolly made bank if you sold the highs around .00001250.  That's like almost a 100x move in BTC. 

It's even more if counted in fiat as BTC  made a 20x move up of it's own.  Lots of friendly shibes got rich and I think the same formula will work again at the next bull market.  It's all meme all around.

Just like I picked "no" for Bitcoin I also picked no for Ethereum. I believe Bitcoin will pull Ethereum's price more to bottom levels. But I sort of feel like Ethereum may not exactly decrease in value in same percentage with Bitcoin. 1000 dollar value is definitely psychological barrier for Ethereum (similar to 10k being barrier for Bitcoin). Ethereum I think will hit enormous highs in next bull run so its one of the first coins I will buy right after it hits bottom that I wait for.

Yes, probably it will repeat itself again, I think even ETH has a good solid run last bull run. But for this month, the price might just go around that range similar to bitcoin. So it's not going to go down $1k and it will hold and who knows, maybe it has bottom already.

As for meme coins, Shiba though? I'm not an investor of meme coins but it could give other a good chance to make money, but it just so volatile though.

^  Not probably...  Surely!  Markets tend to move due to the psychology aspect of it all.  Just give it a couple more years to 'rest' and when everything starts looking rosier again, I'm pretty sure a lot of folks couldn't wait to get their money in.  And usually most folks get it in at the wrong time when everybody is already looking and when most of the market has already risen.

As for SHIB, it will rise but don't expect the hige rise it had.  For the next great 1000x, go check out the criteria in my other thread.    It could give you a better chance.  Lol.

At this point I’m holding till it hits 5000 or crashes to zero.  Traded early and my original investment has already been taken out.  Not sure I’ll buy back in.  It seems the crypto craze is dying out.  I’m waiting to see the next pump, but starting to feel like it might go the way of nft’s

For me, Ethereum and Bitcoin are almost the same right now. Like if I want to trade Ethereum, I am just trading Bitcoin too.
We all know that Ethereum correlates with Bitcoin most of the time, so for me. It's not new anymore and it's not good or ideal to compare price action of Ethereum to Bitcoin especially if there's no any fundamental news or events that is from Bitcoin or Ethereum particularly.

whatever happens to bitcoin, it will also affect ethereum, it seems like they are already complementary. I also agree that there is always a correlation that can be done between the two, but not to compare, now and maybe in the future they will still be pioneers in crypto. if we hold bitcoin, we can be sure that it is the same as holding ethereum, because the only difference is the price.

at this time we clearly know that bitcoin is continuing to experience a correction, so it is certain that it will happen to ethereum, whatever happens to bitcoin, ethereum will follow, even though many altcoins that are currently being traded have the same thing. in my opinion that december will not change the bitcoin situation and will continue as it is today, maybe even until next year, it will continue to experience a correction that may be worse.

Pretty sure the next bull market is gonna take ETH over 5k and prolly go high enough to make everybody think of a real flippening?  I feel like it could the be time when ETH really starts pushing the boundaries to snatch the no. 1 spot in CMC.  The odds are against it and it will fail in getting the spot but it could at least make it close enough to be a threat.  That I think will be one of the next bull market's biggest surprises.    The other one could be like you said...  NFT's.  And my bets are any NFT with a doge in them.  As I said before, if Elon Musks as much as sneezes about DOGE or any coin with a dog logo, there's a high chance some doge NFT's get some money coming into them too.

Like BTC, November wasn't really great for WTH too.  And like BTC, it looked like ETH was going to start trending up for a while but then of course something shtty has to happen.  FTX.  :/  But it also feels like the market stopped caring and we're seeing some buyers scoop up some ETH at these prices.

We'll do exactly the same thing as the BTC sentiment thread.  Look at the chart below and answer the poll. I saw a guy asking for 'undecided' in the BTC thread.  I say no...  Let's not take ourselves seriously now.  Just have fun and answer yes or no. 

Personally, I don't currently see anything special happening to ETH this month or next. The fact is that it is stupid to expect growth from ETH now, since the situation in the world is only getting worse, which means that markets, like the crypto market, cannot go up, except perhaps down, or in extreme cases, there may be calm in the market. So my mood for ETH in December remains optimistic and I believe that the price of ETH will still be at approximately the same positions.

it's been several years I only believe in the first asset bitcoin and the second asset ethereum, for me both bring good luck.
for now it is possible that the price is still not at the bottom and there will be a more bottom price in the coming 2023. but even though it hasn't reached the lowest price yet I have started bringing ethereum in my bag for me to collect.
because I believe that bitcoin and ethereum will always provide high value when the time comes.
and I speculate the lowest price of ethereum is probably at $900

well like what we all started , believing only in top 5 coins or at least the top 2 coins like what you mentioned? Mine in the past is Bitcoin , Ethereum and NEO in which I only believe back in the days lol.

and I speculate the lowest price of ethereum is probably at $900

well if this is in 2022 then maybe the market is still strong to fall that 900$ but in the next year as the bear seems to be more stronger? yes I believe we will go that low .

Personally, I don't currently see anything special happening to ETH this month or next. I think the world situation doesn't fully influence the development of ETH. If the team wants to develop ETH, they can do it at any time. If ETH has no significant improvement now, it is because Vitalik has no strong efforts to develop it. I know Vitalik and the team already made a certain program or plans to improve it. Unfortunately, it doesn't impact massively in ETH price movement, they even look like no influence. Even worse, Vitalik and the team seem not really care about it. So, it is impossible if we expect something big to happen in ETH in the near future.
