If most people were not so short-sighted. Just buying Bitcoin and then holding it is actually sometimes over 5 times much more profitable than the cloud mining ventures
See most people have heard about mining the second they start looking for methods to earn bitcoin. Happened to me a couple of times when close friends who have been trying to enter crypto, ask me if mining would be a good thing. I immediately correct them saying that mining is no longer profitable for an indie miner with a single or couple of ASICs, one would need a huge number and landspace for that.
But then they immediately get links on internet about Cloud mining sites - the point that pops up, is if they cannot mine on their own why not hire a miners that someone else owns and buy a share - specifically what a legit cloud mining operation is supposed operate.
I am not sure how we can change this mindset, by telling them what you have said, the immediate response is "Bitcoin is too expensive even if I buy only 1/100th of one" - and I dont disagree, it is expensive for the third world country users now that it has crossed 50k USD.
Anyway, good job finding and posting this, hoping some newbies get warned of the scam these guys are running and advice people to report the same to the registrar so the site is taken down quickly.
