Any way to turn off GPU leds. Having 40 of them around was fun in the beginning but it bothers me now for some reason

Run Windows... use the Software program of the GPU disable and return to you Linux OS :-)

RGB FUSION or Palit ThunderMaster will help you if you are using Windows. These programs will probably turn off the backlight for other manufacturers of video cards. Hive OS has a checkbox in the settings for "Turn off the backlight" but this does not work on all video cards.
You can always use a mechanical method

Or use a dab of dark nail polish on the LED's.

Windows is your best option for turning them off. With some cards the LED's reset with each boot so, it's not permanent. If you are on Linux, the packages for managing LED's are stuck in 2016, so they don't work with many of the most current cards. Other than covering them up. some cards have a connector on the  board  you can unplug to disconnect them.
