Don't ever do that because in the worst case you will lose your coins. at a glance Between ERC20 and BEP20 look the same from the address right ?? In fact, the two are on different networks. So the conclusion is that ERC20 and BEP20 are different.

Dear friends, can we send ERC20 tokens to the BSC wallet address (BEP20). I see that the BSC wallet address with Ethereum (ERC20) is the same. What if we use it to reduce transaction costs. No, not really because I was already done that accidentally in the Binance wallet and it was not shown on the BSC Network address, But we can indeed use the same address if the wallet has supported both BSC and ERC20 of Ethereum Network Its a small amount only that's why I don't bother to recover it anymore because Binance already warned that it will be lost if it was sent to the wrong network.

As far as I know, if your token is in the form of ERC 20, the costs incurred are also ERC 20, and vice versa for BEP or BSC, if you want to reduce costs try to swap your token to bep, by using a trust wallet, sorry if I am wrong

We have tried it, but cannot send nor add custom token at BSC, because BSC does not support the Ethereum blockchain smart contract. If you send it, you will lose. So, you should check in detail before sending your token.

It is not possible to send tokens from the ETH chain to the BSC chain. The two chains are completely different, but having one token on two blockchains is entirely possible. Currently, BSC has a bridge that is 100% compatible with ETH so the address of the token is the same.

It is funny how many of us here have advance thinking . OP asked if we can send ERC20 token to BEP20 wallet address. See the bold letter, the answer is Yes we can send it but as what _IRMAN stated : You can send it, but your token will remain on the ERC20 network and not change to BEP20.
and Falconer No, I understand what you mean by sending an erc20 token with a gas fee of bep20 and then hoping that the recipient's address will automatically receive a bep20 token It isn't magic and still need a Binance Bridge to be able to convert your ERC20 token to BEP20 and that is still charged in ETH as gas.

I guess this would help me, I did send ETH from Binance to my MEW wallet using the BSC and the balance did not appear, it was stupid move by me as I did not research much before doing it, I just called it a test and just put a small amount, but with this info, I'm not interested and see if I can still recover it again.

I think it is different chain, maybe i wouldn't try anything to send my ERC20 token to BEP20. Like when use bridge, you still must pay Ethereum maybe in next or future, because of this problem maybe a lot of project will start their tokens from BEP20 and then people wouldn't need to pay much about fees.

It is unlikely that you will lose your coin, because the ETH and BSC networks are very different, even if at first glance the wallet address is the same.

The address is the same because BSC created a bridge that is 100% compatible with ETH. BSC and ETH are two different blockchains. Projects have recently moved their tokens to BSC to save on transactions so you can find the same token run on two different chains.

I believe that when you send ETH under BEP20 on Binance, you can get wrappedEth [wETH], meaning Binance will automatically convert your ERC20 ETH to Bep20 Eth and you won't find it on mew as I guess BSC isn't supported on MEW. You can check it on Metamask or other wallet that support BSC network. You can also check it on the BSC explorer and I am 100% sure that your ETH is there.

You will lose your tokens if you send it, its possible though through bridging but if you send from your ethereum wallet to BSC wallet address then the coins will lose forever... The gas fee reduced a lot for ethereum transaction in the current week so if you want you can make use of it, or try learning how to connect your ethereum wallet on Binance network using metamask wallet.

Never try to send your ERC20 network token on BSC network becouse this two network is different and if you want to send your ERC20 token on BSC network then you lose your token. But if your token Support BSC network then you can do it.
This is correct but not 100% correct. If you send to an exchange in this way then the coin can be lost if the customer care do not help, like the customer care will not help and it is good to be on the safer side, prevention is better than cure because there might be no cure and the coin could lost forever. But if it is noncustodial wallet it is sent to, all the person need to do is to get the seed phrase or private key on the wallet that support BSC, after importing the seed phrase, the coin will appear.

If you are using trust wallet, then it may work but in all other ways, you will lose your coins. I will suggest you to pay some extra fee and use ethereum chain to transfer ERC20 tokens. The addresses for erc20 and BSC wallet address (BEP20) may seems similar but they are on different blockchain which are not linked in any way.

Don't try it, you will loose your tokens, yes, the address and even the private key might be the same, but understand that this are two different blockchains, the tokens you are sending from Ethereum blockchain is sure built on Ethereum but not built on binance smart chain, so therefore this means that you wil loose them if you send them to bsc, likewise you can't send tokens built only on binance smart chain over to Ethereum as erc20 tokens, you will loose your tokens, except the token is ruining in both blockchains, then the team of developers of the project will provide you with a guideline on how to switch the token from one blockchain to the other.

You can't, to avoid losing the tokens or assets you send, you must always ensure that tokens on the BSC network must also be sent to wallets that support the BSC network. Crossing the token delivery mechanism will cause your token to burn and you will lose your assets. Even though the addresses listed are the same, they actually run on different protocols and platforms, so ERC20 and BEP20 do not support each other. To find out more details about the ERC20 and BEP20 coins, you can read this article as another reference that can make you understand about these two types of tokens: ERC20 to BEP20 — Complete Guide

Dear friends, can we send ERC20 tokens to the BSC wallet address (BEP20). I see that the BSC wallet address with Ethereum (ERC20) is the same. What if we use it to reduce transaction costs. As explained by others the BSC wallet address looks the same as ERC20 address simply because they ripped off the entire code but you cannot send ERC20 tokens to BSC wallets, same like you cannot send Bitcoin to Bitcoin Cash wallet. Hope you will not do that kind of blunders as you are aware that the cross transactions can be irreversible and you will loose the coins forever .

It is same address but different network, different protocol. You can not send erc20 token to bep20 and vise versa. If you send the token it could probably gone forever. Different type or mining too. But if the token developer have smart contract on Bep20 you can swap it.

Presently now with the look of thing BSC is taking as the best with no other things than cheap transaction fees, which is making it gain ground, believe if Eth does not have gas fee might not thrive.
