So I logged into coinbase a while back and noticed i got a tiny bit of bitcoin SV because i had a tiny amount of bitcoin there when there was a fork.  I also never bought/sold on coinbase ever.  I also did not claim my bitcoin SV yet from the fork a while back.

I want to know, can you buy/sell bitcoin SV on coinbase?  If not, where to sell it?  Because I want to claim my bitcoin sv soon and obviously send it to a wallet or exchange to either store it there or sell it since i know the bitcoin sv wallet probably isn't good place to keep it.  I believe the wallet to claim it is electrumsv.

I think coinbase does have bitcoin sv wallet since i see tiny balance there of mine... but you can't sell or buy it right?  So you could use coinbase as a place to store bitcoin SV in the time being?

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

No, Coinbase doesn't support BSV.
You can find the list of exchanges here:

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-sv/markets/

Bittrex and Kucoin are the best of those imo.

If you are holding there for so long, I think it is fine. But I would sell as fast as possible, as bitocin forks usually lose value against BTC pair over time.

Exchanges are a bad place to store funds in general. And since it's BSV, why not sell it? Also knowing that it's up 27% currently for whatever reason.

Exchanges list: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-sv/markets/

Personally I'd go for KuCoin.

legitimate exchanges don't add scam coins to their list of tradeable coins unless it has a huge incentive and BSV doesn't which is why coinbase doesn't have this shitcoin listed. you can only find it on shady exchanges like bittrex that  scam users themselves

Also knowing that it's up 27% currently for whatever reason.
it is the shitcoin pumping season every day the pumpers choose shitcoins like BSV to pump a little before they dump them.

There is a FOMO brewing...

Okay you cant buy sell it on coinbase.  But could you store it there in the mean time though?  I do see i have a very tiny bitcoin sv balance in my coinbase account.  So it has to have a wallet right?

So could i send bitcoin sv to coinbase or not?

I'm quite puzzled. What's your main intention in the first place?

If you actually do have BSV on Coinbase, you either sell it on other exchanges, or leave it to rot on your Coinbase wallet. That's pretty much it. There's no point sending BSV to an exchange that doesn't allow buying/selling of it.

My intention is I still haven't claimed by bitcoin SV from the fork a while back.  I only claimed bitcoin cash and that was it.  I know the program to claim bitcoin SV is electrumsv.  So if i claim the bitcoin sv there... i want to send the bitcoinsv to an exchange/wallet to keep there.  I was told its probably not good idea to keep bitcoin SV in the electrumsv... similar to like how i used electroncash to claim my bch... and i then sent the bch to another wallet.

So i wanted to know if one could sell bitcoin sv on coinbase... which seem to be no.  But could i at least store my bitcoin sv in coinbase etc.

You say no point in sending bitcoin sv to exchange that doesn't allow buying/selling of it.  That make sense.  But where would i store my bitcoin sv then after i claim it?

I have been using coinbase for a long time seems there we can't make deposits for BSV since coinbase doesn't support BSV. It has been clearly stated in the coinbase wallet. Is BSV balance reflecting in the coinbase wallet? If not then how are you wondering to claim it? Coinbase supports BCH during the fork and most probably it was automatically credited in your wallet, wasn't necessary to claim yourself. I am assuming you just moved it from coinbase and you are wondering you claimed it. I am not sure if I am getting you correctly.

Just for clarification, if you were holding BCH in coinbase during BCH-BSV hard fork then it's impossible to claim since coinbase doesn't support and you aren't holding the private key. If you can manage to claim Bitcoin then you may use a fork of Electrum called Electrumsv suggested by Ledger.

I see a bsv balance in my coinbase account along with a btc and bitcoin cash balance.  These balances are extremely tiny.

But are you saying... i can't send bsv from another wallet to coinbase right now?  Again, i want to claim my bitcoin sv... then send it to coinbase for storage there because nano ledger doesn't support bitcoin sv.
