If not in banknotes how else would you store cash? Unless you are talking coins.
Either way the answer is no, other then the usual week or so of cash I have around.
Cash sitting at home is not earning interest so in essence you are throwing money away.

You guys talk like you are talking about savings. I'm so poor, that it's like hand to mouth. And it has been getting faster lately. In fact, I almost bit a few fingers off a couple of times.

You don't really understand what poverty is for, do you? It's the thing that helps one place his trust in God. After all, when you die, wealth won't help. You will need to place your complete trust in God to survive into the next life.

Besides, wise wealthy people don't really own much. It's all owned by the trusts and corporations that they control.

There is nothing wrong in keeping money in the banknotes or in your storage at home whatever you call that. Its better to ensure every single centavos you have may it be in crypto, in card or in virtual wallet for as long as you took care of its safely so that whatever may happen, computer may shut down or electric problem you still have something to use on incase of emergency rather than putting it all into one bank and when problem arise you wouldn't withdraw it easily.

You'd recall when the Euro was introduced people in Ireland were cashing in their red punts (£50 notes) that had last been issued in the 1950's.

Although they were still worth £50, their buying power had significantly erroded.

If you have cash to spare, pay down your debts. Cancell one credit card, then another especially while the interest rates are so low (consider a consolidation loan to pay out your credit card loans).

You already have debit cards - use those for purchases instead of relying on credit.

Good luck.
