You are right, we have seen price declines up to 90% and in many of the ICO projects we even saw declines up to 99.9%. That won't happen to Ethereum of course, but 50% of the ATH does not mean the decline is over. Both scenarios are similarly possible. It could go back to its ATH very soon, but it could also go down another 50 or 60% from where we are now. It's possible that the former ATH becomes a kind of new base level from where accumulation starts again. Almost impossible to tell what the market will do next.

for the OP, I'm sure you've gotten a lot of advice from the members who participated in the discussion in the thread you created. one suggestion from me, just wait for ETH below because the correction is not finished yet. but if you're afraid of upgrades, you can buy them in stages. but that's all with consideration for the long term.

This is a general concept of the market and everyone expect the market to rally again and when that is the perception there are much bigger questions like whether there are other coins that could make you a better profit than Ethereum with minimal risk and if you take a look in the market there are several coins like that that have a much lower risk.

Yes, you are absolutely right, if you want to achieve big profits, save ETH for approximately 2 years. I used to do jmi when in late 2019 the price of ETH was still very low. And the proof is that it can increase up to 10 times.

Holding for two years is not bad but if you happen to buy right at the beginning of the bear market then that may not be enough to produce profits, it is better to just hold your coins for as long as you reasonably can, I know this is hard but you do not want to sell your coins too soon, you could sell now and obtain good profits but what if you can get enough money to change your life if you hold for the next decade? So as you can see in that case it is way better to wait.

We can put some stacks into crypto easily because we won all our money from here again, we don't take more risk like you do. There is never a bad time to buy 3 coins, according to me, namely, ETH, BTC & BNB. These are top coins and I am sure in the coming time they will double triple or even quadruple their values very quickly. Binance is the biggest exchange so its coin will always do well while ETH is like the father of altcoins and BTC we all know always brings value despite being down and dull right now in the market.

But guys don't buy too much because the market might crash further in the coming days, invest what you can hold for long time, if that's the need of the time.

your looking at the graph , you have a guide and still not sure what to do ? but you can follow what your heart says . if you feel buying now go buy it now .

Mate, we all know what are the advantages and what ethereum is, I think you are trying to explain what ethereum is, everyone already knows it though. I agree though that ethereum 2.0 might cause a huge movement in the market and almost certain that ethereum will go up when it's launched or even close to being launched.

I personally prefer to invest in lesser-known altcoins because they have a bigger window for profits but I cannot deny that ethereum is still a good option and since it has the 2nd largest market cap, you don't have to worry about a collapse as of now because anything may happen tomorrow but for today it is staying stronger as per technical assessment.

if we have purpose buying ethereum in last price, it is good enough although i see there is possibility to down again. but for long term investment , buying major coins like ethereum have lower risk than shitcoin that recently launched. just hold your position and you will get return for it.

I do not think the price is high at all given what it was earlier and along with Ether, I am investing into ICP (internet Computer) because they are trying to decentralize the whole web and I don't know how close they are in their plans but if they can actually achieve what they are claiming, I guess ICP would be among top 5 coins of all time.

The best coins to invest right now: Eth, Btc, Icp, Solana and some cheap ones like Tron and maybe EOS.

Same reason, BTC price is too high for newcomers too. Trust me, you don't want to buy after the biggest bull rally. Things are uncertain now, better wait for long term investment. Either wait for trend reversal sign or expect price to drop and buy more for cheaper price. ETH can't go up when BTC goes down, it's tied to BTC just like all other altcoins.
