CityStates has been in private development since mid-2019.
As fans of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), we are looking for like-minded people that share our vision and want to be part of the development - directly and through governance polls.

Hero NFTs and their equipment will be issued on several blockchains instead of a dedicated one.
To our knowledge, that makes CityStates the first game to use several different blockchains for different use-cases at the same time.

The CityStates team previously won a grant in the Stellar Community Fund.

Owning the Game itself + Governance

In CityStates, you can not only own Heroes or skins but a part of the game itself. The game has been tokenized on the Stellar Network and hodlers will take part in governance for development and receive profit generated by the game proportional to how many tokens they hold.

Hero NFTs

Ethereum was our first choice for NFTs, due to its name recognition, the anticipation of future upgrades, and reliability. However, during development, other chains have piqued our interest and NFTs in general have gone mainstream. We have therefore decided to issue NFTs on several blockchains, adding support in the game if demand justifies the additional development.

Game economy - all in-game assets issued as tokens on Stellar

The game-economy will be completely player-driven. Because of the low fees on Stellar and the integrated Stellar DEX, players can trade in-game assets like resources and goods they produced directly with other players. Our main focus will be to create a sustainable and balanced economy that grows in overall value over time. Direct sale of in-game currency, cosmetics, and NFTs will be partially reinvested into the economy.

We had development of our website outsourced to a studio which delayed for several month then delivered an unfinished and bugged project. We are currently working on fixing this ourselves and hope to be able to go live in the coming week if no new errors start popping up. Users will be able to register and have a dashboard where they can buy the token with several options besides directly on the SDEX.

There will also be a referral and affiliate program for users to refer and earn from referrals that invested in the Seed sale. This should grow the existing user base several fold from where it is now and increase sales of the token. We still haven't made a public announcement of the sale except for here and in our messengers.

That is the plan. There may be limitations on the minimum amount to withdraw to deter cheat and farming accounts but that's something we'll have a look at when we reached that point in the development.

Not quite precisely true. The Galactic Milieu has been using many blockchains for several years; you can see at http://galaxies.mygamesonline.org/digitalisassets.html tables and plots of Milieu asset values dating back to the launching of Digitalis' Open Transactions server, which was way back in 2012.

The currencies of the main Civilisations and Corps, CDN, UKB, MBC and so on, were each their own blockchain, based on BiTCoin, back before GRouPcoin and DeVCoin were created, which I think was before the original scrypt coin Tenebrix and its "fair distribution" (no pre-mine) clone Fairbrix were created, which of course both pre-date Litecoin which was a swipe of the idea by someone who went and worked for Coinbase thus was able to push his copy of them out to a wider audience to the extent that nowadays TeneBriX (TBX) and FairBriX (FBX) are almost forgotten save as part of the Galactic Milieu.

Nowadays we are mostly using the HORIZON and STELLAR platforms but looking forward to the release of Diamond (DMD) v4 which is anticipated to have basically all of Ethereum's capabilities and more cheaper and faster.

The game has been developed as a side/hobby project with several long breaks. With funds raised we will be able to fasten development by working full time and extending the team. The game is still in development.


I don't know who MissCrypto is but thanks for him/her quoting the OP to make the images show up. He/She seems to be an active member on this board since 2014. I don't even know what Merit is used for.


I don't know if you didn't check our twitter and reddit but that is an insult to the work the team has put into this project so far. I wonder why shitcoins with no purpose suit you better then.

Maybe MissCrypto cab tell us what he or she found interesting in the OP that lead to merit it 50, it is quite huge and an unusual amount of merit for an Ann thread,
Anyways that's by the way, I expect a project that have been under development since 2019 to already achieve 80% of the development process but it seem from your explanation above that the games are still in development process, I hope soon more interesting news will come soon

A little disappointed to see what was accomplished from a project that has been years old, but it doesn't matter as long as you want to continue to finish it as soon as possible, not for a very long term. Then when we can expect to play the game? if it not full version at this moment, maybe mvp version is enough to satisfy people's curiosity for it, yeah to try it.
