It does not matter. I`m doing as buyer wants. If you are telling that GPUs used for gaming - the better way to flash original BIOS. I always sell GPUs as "after mining" and don`t flash it. For all the time just twice GPUs bought for gaming and flashed BIOS wasn`t a problem.
My decision is to ask a buyer what he want.

Does it matter? I've bought a card in AliExpress before and the bios was modded, I found this out because the card was behaving unstable so I flashed back a bios and it works better, all the buyers cares about is getting a working card, no one cares if it's modded or not

I always write the original BIOS again, if the buyer is a gamer he will be satisfied and if he is a miner he will know how to rewrite the BIOS and it won't be a problem either. It takes more work, but that's what I do.

You should put the original bios back in there. If you never took a backup go to vga bios databse (google it) and download your bios from there. The reason why is that an unsigned bios won't load properly after the drivers are installed, they will get the Code 42 error and then call you up and demand a refund.

You will have to guide them how to flash the bios and most people probably won't know how to do it or they will do it incorrectly and brick the card and you will have a headache. So to avoid these issues always remember to flash back the original bios.

Also when you make a backup, label it with the serial # for that particular card, since the same GPU could have different revisions and different memory chips which means the bios is different.

What do you think is the best to do?

It depends on the buyer to whom you sell your graphics cards.
If the buyer takes 1 video card, then I install the original BIOS for him. I try to keep all the original BIOSes of the video cards. If you sell video cards in batches of 5-10 pcs, then your buyer is a miner who does not need an original BIOS.
It is important to install the original BIOS when you contact the warranty service Smiley

I once bought a bios modded GPU before and it works pretty well, it's HD6970 years ago and this GPU has BIOS switch onboard but I've tried the switch to see performance difference and I stil find myself going back to the modded bios because it works better for me in gaming and other things
