Hello BTT Community,

What can you say if someone manages to transfer ERC20 Tokens with Gas price set to zero?
You dont beleive me?
Then see this list of transactions.

Example 1: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xb14b99ab46f529f4046e9f6368c4e08138f133b3aef3972a7b36da3d399c1d5f

Example 2: https://etherscan.io/tx/0x7f62f608e8e0e52b8b2706e3612725480e02d71aebbd6434b3a01b08a455f453

Example 3: https://etherscan.io/tx/0x91e635faa658880f6885b19aee22a56de1a3db5e96890fb2c9f33c965689996f

Example 4: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xc1e673c4aff3ffbedeec0453ded0289e2d36313bb498ff1b6607524107546c16

Example 5: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xcbada06b02a96e1585e72ac74545d882f3e8dd90f9e9e51e044c300c8e588cee

I am in total shocked after discovering these transactions as successful when their gas price were set to zero.
Can anyone explain how the trasaction go through? Did the wallet owner mined his/her own transaction?
Any tips on how to do this? Im curious to learn.

BTW, all of these transactions were made by the owner of this wallet address:

In simple terms, It's known as a zero gas transaction and it used to happen back in 2018 when hackers used the exploit to steal ERC20 from addresses with leaked private keys minus using ETH as transaction fee.

I don't know if it's possible today but back then some miners would send ETH minus paying gas fees through their nodes. So the attacker used that exploit to have zero gas transactions too If the transaction was created and launched on such an Ether miner node ( the node that mines a new block)
