With the tournament kicking off within weeks this is the place to post all your comments and to have lengthy discussions. Even though Euro 2020 has been delayed by one year because of the COVID-19 pandemic there is still big interest in it.

Football fans are looking forward to the games starting. The enthusiasm of fans worldwide has not subsided....

In Euro 2020 qualifying, Belgium comfortably defeated Russia in both home and away matches, therefore they are favorites. Denmark will also have home advantage in all of their group matches, so I think they are the presumptive runners-up.

No surprises in Group C, and I agree with your prediction. The Ukraine is a worthy adversary and should have no major issues against Austria.

Scots are in a tricky group. It is unlikely they'll beat England or Croatia, and they could face a close match against the Czech Republic. Even getting a point on the board would be a good result.

Yes, on second thought, I might be wrong about Spain; their golden generation of 2008-2014 is long gone, and the new batch of youngsters just aren't made from the same stuff. Spain's Euro 2020 squad has been heavily criticized, with Sergio Ramos not included. This marks the first major tournament in which Ramos won't be in the Spain squad since Euro 2004.

There is no doubt that a lot of good matches await us, but some things will still be clearer after the preparatory matches next week. It should also not be overlooked that there may still be problems with infected players and that the real strength of the teams will know just before the start of the championship.

Consequently, it is difficult for me to predict teams that will pass the group based only on their old reputation - so although Belgium is the favorite in Group B, Denmark has always been a tough nut to crack - and Russia does not seem like a better team to me.

As for Group D, England is definitely the favorite - especially as they play at home, just like Scotland, but it should not be overlooked that Croatia played in the final of the last World Cup - although it must be admitted that it is no longer the same team. So I think all three teams have an equal chance of winning second place and their games will be pretty tough with very few goals.

The Portugal vs Belgium match really showed a balanced game between the two teams, although in that match Portugal appeared dominant but was able to be defeated by Belgium who only tried to use direct passes throughout the match, in my opinion Portugal performed quite well in attack and even Portugal was able to fired 23 shots on goal belgium,
But indeed the unlucky factor made Portugal eliminated in that match, I think the reigning champion curse still applies in Euro 2020, where the team with the status of defending champion failed to advance to the quarter-finals and lost in the preliminary round 16, as happened at Euro 2016 and Spain became the champion defending champions and were eventually eliminated in the round of 16 by Italy,
While in 2020 Portugal who became the defending champion was also defeated by Belgium .

It was totally bad luck for the Portugal. They were far ahead than Belgium in all statistic. Portugal Shots 23 which near 4X from Belgium but they did not achieve any goal. Belgium's luck favor to them today. Otherwise they only did 1 target shot and it was the goal. So lucky.

On the other hand Portugal played bad 2nd half. The goal was made 1st half. if they play like as first half maybe there is atleast one goal come. But it did

I assumed there might be penalties after the match, but Belgium managed to keep their goal intact. Overall a very good game from both teams. it is a pity that the reigning champions stopped their path so quickly, but this is football, here the strongest wins.

Both games yesterday were fantastic to watch. First it was Croatia who pushed Spain but eventually they lost out in extra-time after playing so well. Croatia deserved to win that game but Spain go through to the quarter-final stages.

In the second game, what a brilliant defiant display by Switzerland. After being 0-1 up in the first half and then 3-1 down later in the second half they never surrendered to France. They deserved to win the game in 90 minutes but it ended 3-3. Even in extra-time both teams tried to win while at 3-3 it but the Swiss were brilliant in defence and attack, they refused to let France bully them and eventually they went through to the quarter-finals by beating France in the penalty shoot out.

As much as I like the Ukrainian national team, England looks much stronger. If the victory over the Swedes was in many ways expected for me, then defeating the England national team would already be a very big sensation. Of course, this is football and everything is possible, but if we assess the chances realistically, then further I see England's passage.

Denmark was leading by 2 goals in the first half but Czech Republic is playing aggressively in the second half and they scored a goal and i am expecting more goals from either team as both are looking to score goals and 20 more minutes to go.

I would like to see Czech Republic scoring one more goal and going for the extra time .

Ukraine and England is going to be a great match but i am not expecting much goals, England winning by scoring a goal is my prediction.

In the semi-finals, my choices are:

Italy - Spain
England - Denmark

Italy - Spain is a really tough draw to be honest. Italy had a quite solid performance against Belgium and they deserved to get here. They have been one of the best teams in this tournament so far, maybe even the best. They have been one of the favourites to win the title also. When it comes to Spain, they are one of the unstable teams. But they started playing much better in the last games. Switzerland made them have big difficulties. But still, Spain managed to eliminate them in the penalty shoot-outs. Their job will be quite hard against Italy. We know how much good defense Italy have. I think that Italy will manage to move them out of their way.

England - Denmark draw is also a hard one for both of these teams. England simply destroyed Ukraine 4-0 and boosted their morale a lot. And they really deserved to get here also. When it comes to Denmark, they have been doing perfect. Their marvelous performance has drawn the attention of many people. They are one of the surprise teams in this tournament. I wouldn't have thought that they would reach this level. Every win was deserved for them either. In this tough game, I see England closer to the final. As long as they benefit from their squad quality really good, a really difficult game is waiting for Denmark.

I am sure that the majority will vote for England, Italy, or Spain... So I decided to support Denmark, they are underdogs! England is a favorite, but I think that Denmark can make a surprise here! And if they make a surprise against England, I think they will have great motivation for the final game!

The Danes will travel to London for a European Championship semifinal match on Wednesday with memories still fresh of their victory over England at Wembley Stadium last October.

The stakes are high, and I think many options are open here! I still didn't place any bets... I am still looking at some statistics, and other people's predictions before making a decision! I guess I will make some bets right before the games took place!
