Unfortunately I lost my entire collection in a tragic boating accident  Cry

Bummer, I lost all mine to a bunch of rubes on some forum

No longer buying/selling Casascius coins. Beware scammers.

Where I'm at safe deposit boxes are an endangered species. I think I'd probably have to travel about 200 miles to find one and they're getting closed down all the time. Banks certainly don't do them any more, and they're closing bank branches faster than people can switch.

As for where I store mine...

Mars. Have Elon take you. Once you're there, I'll send the coordinates.

I keep mine in a safe at a friends company (they are staffed 24/7). I would not use a safe deposit box because they have been raided over the years (google it). Your best bet is a small fireproof safe that is well hidden at your house or at a family members. I sort of do the same thing for my offline coins...I can not access them without driving to multiple locations.

If someone is worried about their deposit box being raided, it's unwise to store valuable stuff at home  Wink Cool

here we are four years later ... now they are in a waterproof/fireproof safe inside a Large safety deposit box in the Big bank downtown lol
