bitcoins runs for a long time but never gets erased in all exchanges .
they dont have expiratiom date but they will only get removed if there will be no demand coming from them .

This is depend on the trend of BTC and whole crypto markets, if the crypto market continue with the trend of bullish, alot of coins will be have potential go to new high. And for the long term, after bull season ended, then only some altcoin that will survive, this is according trend of market and the products each coins. For long term holding, BTC is safer than altcoin, because too many competitor for each altcoin.

Yes, just like in projects in 2017 that totally vanished after the bear market even some of them are very promising to bring the crypto to different level but still didn't managed to survive in bear market due to short of funds throughout the years. Most of sh*tcoins will be vanished after this the bull run so it's very important that we know about this tokens have limitation. They are only being hype this season and memes tokens will also one of those tokens. We cannot guaranteed their worth in the long run. So if we're aiming for long-term and project that worth to invest, crypto that have great foundation and list between top 50 we should aim.

for long term investment its very suitable , just buy and forget at least for years and check it again later. just like dogecoin ,or another altcoin  which is rise extremely this year. if we have monthly income our psychology will not disturb although cryptocurrency price drop.

In case your bought coins like Doge, Shiba, XRP, or any coins with billions in volume pumped up, sell it.
Don't regret it if it goes up. There will be time a dump will happen again and you will feel good about selling early.

It's been happening since the ICO boom in 2015, back in those times hundreds of new coins are coming only to become dead coin after a few months and I don't think it's going to ever stop, because coins creation are open-sourced and there are a lot of platforms to create a token, scammers are going to create new coins every week to scam people, this is the time to do extensive research and educating yourself on what to look on a coin.

Instead of holding on to coins for long term I prefer taking profits when there is one so I don't care if a coin is shit or not if it can double or triple my ROI, the only crypto coin worth holding for years without any worries of losing your ROI is BTC and ETH

That is absolutely true, but i want to restrict that statement or rephrase it to "all of your meme-coins will be worthless in a few years" probably even already in a few months and this is a good thing in my opinion. Those meme-coins took away so much volume and market-cap from "real" projects or projects with a use-case that it was very harmful for the whole crypto-market in my opinion and maybe even the main-reason for the falling prices that we see since 2 weeks. It is also true though that even some "good" projects will be dying in the next couple of years that is just how the market works and you also need a little bit of luck to establish your project successfully.

Yes, shitcoins will be worthless in near future. I hope soon shitcoins trend will end at all shitcoins will be invisible from crypto market. All the good and promising project will be in this market. About altcoins we should know actually it is hard to predict how it's price in future. Not talk about coins that still on trend now which easily to get rugged, but some projects in past not all died already, i see some of them get pumped and i learned not all tokens is bad and worth to hold. But in personal, if want to hold a coins especially for years, i will pick big coins which is already in market.

Actually what is written in topic name is true. If  Bitcoin, number one crypto and most popular one is not adopted yet and not used as a regular payment. Then altcoins are far away from being used and demanded. Also, new alts appear everyday. They dont live long.
