Make rules that new person can´t post links, delete old not used accounts, and so on. But to do nothing and only delete such posts after several hours helps no one!

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Just report them as they're normally handled very swiftly. I agree that maybe it might be a good idea to look at other solutions like either brand new accounts are shadowbanned and have to be whitelisted first before their post goes public or newbies cannot post an url until it's been checked or something but there are always ways to skirt restrictions. In the meantime just keep reporting them.

Are the phishing sites from the same websites? If so, the admins can automatically change the link that newbies post to “suspicious link”.

Another option would be to add a warning to any post a newbie posts with a link advising to verify that the link is correct.

I don't think they're all the same sites.
Not sure if this is the OP's case but back then I recall reporting some bots posting Reddit links in the Bitcoin Discussion with suspicious links inside the post that I didn't even bother to click.
They were taken care of in <24 hours.

A 24 hour turn time for phishing links is probably too long. IMO, a better SLA would be an hour or two. If necessary, the admins should invest in a way to get the turn times down to a few hours. This could mean investing in AI or software that will censor posts based on logic, or it could mean hiring additional patrollers.

Besides the posts you can report the github repo in the link.

I assume most of them are the bots that post this crap.
They are spamming their 5th github account as the others have been blocked after reports.

FFS they recently added a special category on the report page "I want to report harmful code, such as malware, phishing, or cryptocurrency abuse".

I'm almost positive that no similar post to the one I mentioned above has survived more than 30 min (at least in the last few months). And the bot-users were banned

If the user himself is not sufficiently aware of Internet security, what is not worth believing, and following the links provided by newbies, then in the end he will regularly land on phishing sites.
It is better to regularly post topics that discuss computer security and all the ways to behave on the Internet. We are the only ones responsible for our data.

Yup, they spawn like crazy in several threads. While the mods tend to take pretty quickly, the same applies to those bots.

But what I noticed that after those MEGA links were retired on one of the threads, they stopped targeting it.

Please close registration or do something against this fucking phishing bots.
Theymos has done everything he's going to do as far as limiting the creation of new accounts, at least as far as I can see.  None of what you're complaining about is new and in fact that crap has been going on for years.  Just take a deep breath and know that the mods will do their best to delete any spammy posts as long as they're being reported, which you should do when you see them.

Not sure if this is the OP's case but back then I recall reporting some bots posting Reddit links in the Bitcoin Discussion with suspicious links inside the post that I didn't even bother to click.
Bitcoin Discussion is a mess of a section, but even if there were 10 moderators for it alone they'd still have a hell of a time cleaning up all the nonsense in it--and I'm not talking about bots or phishing posts only; there's so much garbage that gets posted in that section it's almost unbelievable.

Its a pain that this forum do nothing against this shit!!!!!!!!!
Have you reported any of the phishing posts to the mods and they did nothing?

Make rules that new person can´t post links,
Not all people create accounts here to post phishing links. Some people create accounts to ask for help or report scam with the help of links. How are they supposed to do so if you restrict newbie accounts from posting links?  Roll Eyes

delete old not used accounts,
Really? So I leave the forum for one year for personal reasons only to come back, and my account is no more?

If we were to do anything about registration of accounts, I'd like to see the least restrictive as possible, which I believe would be the shadow ban, that Hilariousandco mentions. As I believe this is a better option than the suggestion of simply preventing new accounts from posting links, as they will find a way around it which would be difficult to automatically block. Yeah, the link likely won't be clickable, but its still advertising that service through text. At least, with a shadow ban, and whitelist system in place the majority of the forum wouldn't see the spam. The only issue with that, is its not particularly welcoming to new accounts, and I like to be as welcoming as possible really.

From your topic do mod now give preferential treatment to some users like senior members than the newbies? Maybe newbies are restricted as a result of an abuse of it.

To an extent newbies are restricted, because due to the ease of creating an account on the forum, spammers and bots can scale through and post on the forum, this group makes up a number of new members. Forr this reason, posting/pm limit is reduced and newbies are restricted from joining campaigns.
This does not mean they are less preferred, any member who joins the forum for the purpose of learning would not be bothered about the restrictions, which reduce with time and increased activity.

I've not noticed any abuse against newbies, since newbie jail was removed the admins has made efforts to make the forum welcoming to newer members. Maybe more merit sources in designated boards are needed as well as the newbie welcome message, but there's no stringent restrictions.

Preferences might vary from staff to staff but there was once I got temporarily suspended over some issue I was unaware about when I was a Member.

For the more serious things such as plagiarism, then it's pretty much a zero-tolerance offense.
