Dot is one of the best My Favourite Project and Coin. And i personally Like Dot Too much and i Believe in the near future Dot Will Soon Next Ethereum.
I Want That You Guyz also Share Your Opinions about Dot Coin.

Of the many crypto users, only a small number like Dot. When there is a small number of people who like Dot, then we cannot say that Dot is the next generation of Ethereum. I think Ethereum is the number one unbeaten smart contract generator. Polkadot to beat BNB alone is not necessarily successful, let alone beat Ethereum.

Dot is also my favorite coin and project. It will have to develop more and attract more people to their project to be like Ethereum but I think it will be like Ethereum. As it is new project and developing more and progressing so it will have great future.

Even tho i like and respect DOT, it will not be the next Ethereum.
And why should it be? DOT is another project that has no goal of overtaking ethereum's slice of the pie.
Even more, we might see a bridge between those 2 very soon.

Hello, I see Polkadot often mentioned as a good coin when people are asking for DeFi plaforms. But Polkadot is not a good coin, I found out after some research: http://Polkadot is a bad investment because it has unlimited inflation!

Polkadot has huge inflation currently and if it doesn't get changed, it will lose value over time!
Inflation is a very important point and Bitcoin is so succesful because it will always have 21 Millions coins, even in 50 or 100 or 200 years.

Ethereum devs are considering some changes: An Upgrade to Reduce the Supply of Ethereum Gets a Launch Date. But It's still not good at Ethereum.
Bitcoin is a much better store of value.

The OP only knows about current trends. He doesn't learn from history. So he thought it was something easy to go through. I don't think he studied in detail about Polka either. Polka's maximum supply is also unknown, perhaps in this respect it has something in common with Ethereum.

It's true that a currently Dot is growing well, but I don't think that a Dot will be the next etherem,,,, because currently the price difference between a Dot and the eth is very far, the eth is ranked an 2nd highest altcoin in CMC a while dot is in a position number 9, of a course it is very unlikely if the Dot becomes the next etherem,,,

Do not consider it like it will go over ethereum and be the second biggest coin, consider it like how ethereum went up from the early days to today, and in 5 years maybe dot will do the same. I remember when eth was 9 dollars, and the peak of ethereum is 4.3k and that is the reason why people call Dot the next ethereum, not because it will go over ethereum but because it may have the same trajectory.

I am not saying dot will have the same, I do not know if it will have the same, I mean if I "knew" dot would go up that much, I would honestly sell everything I own, from my pc to my house to basically everything I own like plates on kitchen to table, literally everything and buy Dot and be poor and homeless and starving for 3-4 years but then I will be one of the world's richest person alive. Since I do not know, I am not doing it but the idea is not to go over eth, it is to have same increase as eth, that is what I wanted to say.

Polkadot coin is one of my favorite coin in a current trend because of its scalability, profitability and a huge community make these coin faster growing to 9 place of coinmarketcap. But i wouldn't say polkadot will be the next ethereum because there are many good coin needs to compete like BNB, ADA and XRP in the cryptospace.

First, we need to see more projects being created under DOT network before competing these top alts. Competition is great in the market as they will push to cater the services at their best. There's no need to aim for the next eth, just aim to be the best in the market and that position will come easy. I prefer to see projects utlizing the network because that is the tangible proof that the network is really useful to projects. Aside from that, they should be successful on their own also.

DOT is a good coin.

But I don't have it and won't be replacing my Ethereum with Dot. I'll invest somehow into other coins and it's going to be part of my list where I'm going to diversify my portfolio.

Can't say that much bad to Dot and most that I've read about it are positive.

Polkadot is a potential coin yet it still has a lot to go through just like what Ethereum did. Lots of good coins are aiming to be the next Ethereum but as for me, Eth is quite irreplaceable for now because of its function and strong foundation. Dot has still a lot to prove but I'm sure that it could go more in the future.

There's no need to be the next or the one to replace to. Each project should be itself and there's no need for the comparison. I've been seeing this type of comparison for years of my stay in the crypto market.

Yet, they can be themselves and just focus on their goals. Projects that are non stop working with their real use cases are recognized.

I also like this project. I also believe that polka has a great future that will reveal itself after some time.
A big rise is still ahead and it is not a fact that it will take place this year but it will certainly take place.

Maybe it might've got features better than ethereum in some aspects, but that doesn't mean it'll replace the ethereum network. Ethereum has secured its place same as Bitcoin, so it is quite an impossible factor. In terms of growth Dot is supposed to do well in the future. As per my understanding it is a good investment for long term focus. Invest at the present and leave it for atleast five years of time, and you can enjoy big profit for sure.

Ethereum was launched 6 years ago, after that many new blockchains came along. And after that many new blockchains appeared, but none could replace Ethereum. Stellar is more senior than Ethereum, but it can be beaten by Ethereum. Basically Ethereum and Stellar have the same smart contract function. Is Dot better than any other coin that came out 7 years ago?

it is not who is the first coming to crypto market,but how they could developt their ecosystem so token demand will naturally growth. this is happen while ethereum taking over stellar at that moment  ,the easinest in creating token be main weapon to beat stelllar. alot developers team like ethereum feature , and if it also happen to DOT maybe it could good competitors for ethereum.

There will always be this situation. The new platform will be the next ethereum. And there will be the next platform and coin again, considered as the next Ethereum. 'This happens because we know that Ethereum is a big coin and top coin of course. Many will compete with Ethereum and have willing to defeat the Ethereum domination in this crypto world. As it was shown that this project is relatively kept on growing and competing for other projects but yet wasn't enough to say and think that it will surpass Ethereum someday. I'd certainly not thinking like that nor I've thought that there is another who could dethrone ETH. As I know that only BNB is close to ETH now, and the fact that Binance is developing BSC helps the chances for BNB to take it but just like I said, it wasn't in my mind.

If you want to have DOT, you don't need to sell your ETH. Just buy DOT with your USDT, do you still have USDT or fiats? Diversify your portfolio is a good idea, I support your decision to buy more coins. Many people also diversify their assets to optimize the chance of gaining bigger profits. I rarely saw people who suggest investing in a single coin only, even it is BTC or ETH.

The movement of the DOT transaction value is quite impressive in my opinion and continues to rise. Being traded on a variety of major exchanges makes DOt a good investment option for the long term apart from ethereum and I think it can provide great returns. And I agree if we continue to diversify our investment in coins that are at the top of the coinmarketcap rankings

in my opinion there will never be a project that can compete with Ethereum let alone become the next Ethereum (including DOT), therefore I think that at any time Ethereum will remain the most popular of all altcoin and remain ranked 2 on coinmarketcap forever, then from that I never choose any altcoin to invest and still choose Ethereum as a long-term investment, because I believe only Ethereum can give me a lot of profit in the future.

Is Dot better than any other coin that came out 7 years ago?

If you are asking the DOT supporters and i do believe if they will say that yes it is. I can't argue about that because ethereum already adopted by lots of parties as it's the oldest smartcontract although it's still having a lot of problem but it will be fixed in the next updates.
The question is are you seeing it from the how old the platform? why dont you try to see that from the various view just like the technical aspect of the platform?
that may give you the different opinion about that. The majority of new platforms have been making a lot of improvements from the problems that faced by the old protocol.
