I did NOT ROB 25000 coins from AllInVain - please stop the harassment

Hello,

My name is Adrian, this is my real name and not a nick-name.
I use my real name because I take this matter very seriously and I am a grown adult.

I am not entirely sure what is going on here, and I would like to start by saying that I did not rob mr. AllInVain.

I have known Mr. AllInVain in RL for 25 years. He is one of my oldest 'friends' or so i thought, regardless of the fallout we had due to different social circles.
I will not give out his personal information because both him and I live in countries where this is frowned upon and can be legally enforced in the Court of Law.

For the past 3 months my wife and I have been harassed in regards with the theft of 25000 BT of mr. AllInVain by someone on this forum.
After a few months of back and forth, it was revealed that this person was either hired or decided to help mr AllInVain out of their own good will (this information is not clear but it is one of the two). What is clear is that after I googled for months and found this forum and confronting mr AllInVain, someone on this thread is in contact with AllInVain according to him and is helping him to find his stollen coins.

Mr. AllInVain gave out my personal name to this user and what I believe is other personal contact such as my e-mail. I want to be fair and make the statement that Mr. AllInVain promises me that he only gave out my name and not e-mail. I do strongly believe that my primary email has been also given out (or figured out) because in the past few months i had two attempts on my email because i am getting the call from microsoft to allow a new machine to log in. This might be an odd coincidence i want to leave room for this but note that i'm a private person and I am trying to get the ip of those attempts.

This Person,
- according to Mr. AllInVain is a white hat hacker, not in law enforcements.
- accuses me of stealing the coins from Mr AllInVain
- believes I got married because I have the missing coins
- believes that I am living a lavishing lifestyle because they have pictures of my vacation in Mexico and I got married in 2011.
- believes that I had access to AllInVains computer
- believes that after i stole Mr. AllinVains coins i separated myself from him socially
- believes that I am the owner of the account where the money was transffered to
- believes that I am someone Aaron Barr
- accuses me for being part of some hacking group from LULZSEC
- believes that my wife opened up businesses in Australia
- wants to me to send them my financial statements
- wants me to send bitcoins to some address
- calls me a thief and insults my work ethics
- clains he is a millionaire and has many bitcoins
- harassed me and my wife and does not stop

I would like to make the following statement to the people on this forum that are helping AllInVain in such matter.
- Any theft especially something worth 7-14 mil it is best reported and left with a law enforcement (RCMP Canada/FBI usa) because what you are doing is not helping him in any way. There is more to this than what you might have been told.
- I did not steal AllInVains coins.
- I was at his house only one time (two times, but only once inside) and i did use his computer once to check my email (AllInVain was present the entire time) i wish i never did.
- My marriage has nothing to do with the loss of mr AllinVains coin loss, i've known my wife for 20yrs and we had a history this was work in progress.
- All the vacation pictures that were posted on my facebook by my wife when we were in the Caribbean are simply that our vacation pictures, we find some good deals once in a while and we fly somewhere warm once a year. I can afford a vacation once a year and sometimes even two. This does not represent a luxurious lifestyle, these are vacation all inclusive that we get some deals on - i do not need to justify my vacation pictures and it is really weird.
- I did separate myself from AllInVain social life and circle around the loss of his coins, but this is because of the harassment i was receiving from his ex-wife and friends. I still have the proof of it and anyone in my position would do the same. Also because the people that AllInVain associated himself with are not my kind of people and are not people that i would like to be associated with or be involved with. I never really hanged out with these people (i did see them maybe 1 hr a week usually friday for a period of 3 months) and i am sure that all the people will claim the same thing.
- I am not the owner of the account where the coins were sent to, however if my name and identity gives him access to that account legally i will gladly help him in the recovery
- I am not Aaron Barr i also never met this person and i am in no way associated with this person
- I am a software engineer that has been employed in the field since 2005 and i have never been involved with LulZSec or know any members, I in any way do not support black/white hacking groups or organizations.
- Myself and my wife do not have businesses in Australia or anywhere for that matter. We are on salary, always have been.
- I will only share my financial statements with a court of law in the United States or Canada (or even a good friend in need that might upset - wink AllInVain), not over the internet with crazy people, knock it off.
- I do not have bitcoins, or will send bitcoins, I keep retirement money is various pre-taxed accounts that are insured at the level of ca/us governments. I also do not support bitcoin because it is not federally insured. I do not mine bitcoins or buy it in attempts to avoid taxes like other people. I pay all my taxes except for pre-tax accounts where I have limits by the government but this is not illegal it is just something that might come in handy when i get old or during unemployment and i have a lower tax bracket.
- I am not a thief and I am proud of my work ethics, and i never chased quick money and tried to avoid taxes. I have been employed since I graduated in Software Engineering since 2005. My student loan has been payed gradually in 2012 but with money I have earned working very hard. I also have great references in the field and have uninterrupted employment since I graduated university.
- This person is not a millionaire, and the millionaires I know do not behave like this, and will cause Mr. AllInVain alot of legal problems and also lose credibility in this matter and any legal cases he might have.
- The way you conducted yourself is illegal and and you have no right or authority also added much stress to my family prease stop. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Conclusion.

- We are more than happy to help Mr. AllInVain in his loss but this needs to happen via one of the Law Enforcement Agencies.
- Please leave my family alone, or else we will report this to the police the way we have done so far and will place blame on AllInVain because he is the catalist of this circus that he has caused in my life.
- Also all the names of the 'gems' from this forum that offered to help AllinVain in this thread, you should consider getting a job and do something constructive with your life.) There is alot more to this than you actually know.
- We have W4's and proof of every dollar (most of it) we spent because we use credit cards because we get 3% back on every purchase.
- As an expert in the field i would like to add that Windows is not to blame for security issues regardless of what some users on this post are claining, I am willing to put my career on the line with this statements.
- Also encryption is not really working the way some of you guys are describing it, or maybe i miss-understood but do not take advice to security related issues from other users on this site or AllInVain even if i know he is a nice guy and means well. When you have 7-14 million $ at stake and want to secure it, you should understand that the best thing to do is to actually insure it. At that point you should pay a company for your encryption and security that is qualified and most importantly insured against such losses, just my 2 cents on this matter.
- A personal observation, when you have so much monetary value worth inside your residence it might be best to not advertise it and tell people that might be un-employed and wish they had that kind of money (not best practice). The topic of Mr. AllInVains coins was subject to public conversation in his social circle when AllInVain was not around due to his work schedule because Fridays he had to work in the Afternoon or Night, I can publicly testify this in a court, I was there, I am not a liar.

I wish AllInVain the best of luck in recovering this coins and I will co-operate with any law enforcement agency in recovering whatever is his. Please do not bother me any longer with this or else i will keep reporting this to the police. I this harassment does not stop i will press charges against the real person behind the nickname AllInVain in real life, and i personally do not what to do that because i feel bad for him and i really want only what is good for him because he is a good person, but my family is a line that i will not tolerate if it will be crossed again.

Please note that the crime in question involves money that does not just disappear in thin air and there are legal ways to get it

Looks like all you have to do is prove that you never had ownership of that account provided that it's not suspended/deleted. How exactly to do that I don't know.

Wait, so you know allinvain personally, in real life, and he thinks you're someone named Aaron Barr?  That doesn't make much sense unless I'm missing something obvious.  

And this matter is now becoming a problem for you after 10 years?  That's strange, but I'm not sure anyone here is going to be able to help you, since this seems to be a matter between you, allinvain, and whoever you say he has harassing you.  I can see why someone would want those coins back, since it's a hell of a lot of money but why would allinvain now start targeting you as the culprit?  Surely he would have done that years ago, no?

i have no connection to this account - also i do not feel i need to prove anything - it sounds like the person that lost million of dollars has a responsibility towards their family and their own well being to open a case with the FBI that can request warrants to that account.

i cannot help with that but if i can help with that please let me know.. i will bee more than happy to do so - but i have no legal path to prove that - that needs to be driven by the person reporting the crime

Apparently, Aaron Barr was the CEO of some security company who "infiltrated anonymous, which resulted in them trashing his website, hacking his emails and his twitter account, and the people responsible for this later morphed into Lulzsec" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HBGary

In other words, that Aaron Barr guy is irrelevant to this problem and was clearly not the guy who stole allinvain's coins.

The posts I linked showed his twitter account bragging about the theft - apparently, this was after the HBGary hack. Also the coins were stolen from a slushpool account and not a bitcoin core wallet (apparently), so the lulzsec guys must had hacked slush for the login info for people.

From what I read, some other people had coins stolen from slush not just allinvain.

If this idea wasn't brought 10 years ago in that thread then I'm surprised that nobody thought about that.


In any case, since you clearly don't have any hacking skills for stealing database logins, you should explain that to your harasser(s) and tell them to fuck off. The accusation seems bogus to me.

I'm not saying you're lying about anything, but the community here (including myself) is kind of skeptical about newbies claiming things like what you're claiming, so it's inevitable that people are going to dissect what you wrote and look for any inconsistencies.  

If you're being harassed, go to law enforcement, not a discussion forum.  Nobody here knows you or would likely help you even if they could, which they probably can't.  You don't have to prove your innocence to anyone here (or anything else for that matter).  It sounds like you need to resolve this with your accuser.

Man, I don't even know what slushpool is.  Is that something from the 2011 era or is it just not mentioned a lot on the forum anymore?

i did report this matter to the Police in Canada and US due to my location and travels - i even told the person that was harassing me that - it still did not stop, i did contact AllInVain - but apparently these ppl he is in contact with believe i stole his coins - what else can i do except to let you ppl know on this forum i had nothing to do with it and please stop harassing me.

Tell us the names of the members from this forum that are harassing you and we will pretty much know right away if they are full of shit or not.

If they're not from this forum, there's not much we can do.

On the forum i have linked there are several people that offered to track his coins down for a percentage - i am no detective but i got my money on one of those people unless they contacted AllInVain in private after they saw his dramatic posts in 2011 - but this is just speculation this is not real information is verified because AllInVain refuses to reveal these 'gems'

I'm not accusing you of lying. Everybody who commented here so far is trying to help you out. Its hard to do that without knowing circumstances and details. Just relax for a minute and we'll see what the man himself has to say.
