It's to prevent airdrop abuse. The day when the website airdrop started, a lot of people have abused it for sure and dumped on the market which have caused the price to go down to $10 for 100k EMC. I would oppose this but there's no more good way to decrease the abuse also. So, it makes sense. If there's a good solution, you are free to suggest in the #suggestion in the discord.

Phone verification is a cheap way to mitigate the abuse, IMO. It also still has the possibility of being abused, you know in some countries, any individual is able to get/have multiples phone numbers.

As a reference for suggestion, I might take LBRY example to mitigate the rewards abuser. To be eligible to get a reward, new users should verify either using CC or phone numbers. In some cases, both of the options also get rejected if ever the user country is known to be a high-risk abuser. The solution for those rejected countries or an alternative way for users who want to preserve their privacy is to do manual verification. you can take a look at this to see more about it.

Anyway, as you can see in the above post, adding more information for the signup process will be good, we don't know what countries phone numbers are being accepted and how to format correctly the country code on the form. Also, wouldn't it be better to add some ToS and/or privacy policy about it?

Seldom seen something so immature, I really think slowly that only coins should be sold, or was it not clear that the coins will automatically fall in price until everything has worked out. Should these coins not be distributed one way or the other for the first time, or they will all stay with 1 or 2 people who get almost everything that falls off at the PoS (no one knows how exactly this is calculated)

You can check the active nodes connected all the time on the explorer. Earlier I saw it 93 and I believe most of them are staking although the wallet of the DEV is having the most rewards. I'm out of staking for a while because my laptop is having a problem and I sent it to fix it.
Regarding the price, it will fall as long as their are free distribution of coins.

After you fill out the info and complete the captcha, nothing happens.  There's no button to click or any sort of confirmation.  Had the issue a couple weeks ago and just tried again with same result.

You will receive the rewards for the % of coins you are staking with within the "Pool", so staking with others is ofc better, as it's like mining more coins = more rewards. " if you don't have Billions of EMC"

Your keys are always kept on your side, and never shared with the "pool" Coins Deligated will be noted as delegated in the chain and the pool owner will only have the option to stake or not stake the coins, you will see on your wallet if they are staking when sent to the "pool". "it talked 600 confirmations before staking begins"

Pools keys ext is also only stored on the pools end, so even if the pool's wallet get compromised your coins are safe! " Note that you always need to keep your key safe. don't share passwords ext"

If you want to use the stake coins you can use them in a transaction when ever you want, just select them when making a transfer, so there is no locked tim! " NOTE THIS EXAMPLE THO! If you have 1.000 EMC Deligated to cold staking, and you want to use 500of them in a transaction, 500 will be used in the transaction and the remaining 500 will be sent back to your wallet and end the staking, and you manaly need to re-send the 500 to the staking pool again for it to stake! so ONLY use them in a transaction when u REALY need it, as it will end the staking!

There is no pool fees or profits from just running the "pool" from the wallet. Running your own Ubuntu server on a Raspberry Pi and building the node "wallet" on there I cant say if you will have the option to enforce a fee, but I don't think so at this moment, many there will be a vote/update for it later?

But it's ofc good to run your own node, as it makes the community grow as people see a lot of activity and also for you to make a bigger profit if you can get major EMC holders to stake with you.

I was running one from the beginning, getting staking rewards regularly. I used to get 3/4 blocks on average a day but I don’t have my laptop now. It’s having a bug and I sent it for servicing. That's why I thought for an alternative way as my coins are idle now. Apart from that, I think I should get more blocks a day as I'm holding quite a good amounts now.
