BTC still at 40,000$ and etherium at 2400$ close to all time high but 2 GPUs I sold on ebay and craigslist are not selling anymore. Beacuse eth is abandoning POW? There are plenty other coins mined by GPU right?? Just wondering...  Huh

Retail stores are also getting tons of stock in now.  They are still gone by the end of the day, but they last a bit longer than in May when it only took 5 seconds to sell out.
Also from another thread is this:

Maybe there's an issue with your price? I've seen a lot of crypto enthusiast tweeted that GPU price are decreasing since a few days ago, and there's more and more stock coming from distributors.

Or, more and more people realize that buying GPUs right now are equal to burning money for short-term pleasure with little to no benefit in the long run.

It shows that people are getting smarter, gtx1660 super daily earning used to be 4-5$ and now it's 1.8$ to 2$ and moreover there is no guarantee that ETH won't abandon proof of work algorithm soon, also bull market have been around for long time now and what will surely comes next is red market

It looks that you are trying to get oveprofit, then mining profit decreases every day. May be you can drop price and sell it faster? Or wait until mining profit will grew up. Month... 6 months... 2 years...

Finally the price of GPU-s is going just a bit down, still they are overpriced but right now mining profitability is going down which is good for people who want to buy GPU-s and see the long term gain as their future.I will buy soon 2 x 2060 RTX Super or 2070 RTX Super as soon as I find the 500-600 EUR Price target and add them to my mining.I have said it quite a few times but I am saying it again,it is never to late to jump in the mining wagon and have some fun(of course if you have money to risk in investing).

When the payback of a video card in mining was 4-5 months, everyone bought video cards. Now the average payback is about 12 months, but after the end of Ethereum mining, it can increase to two years.
Therefore, newcomers will not invest in this business, and those who received a quick profit from several video cards may decide to sell them, while there is still market demand at a good price.

Most likely the high difficulty, lower price, and EIP 1559 are having an impact. I had a few old RX GPUs listed for sale on Craiglist. I had 2 people who were going to buy the RX GPUs on the weekend. However as soon as EIP 1559 was announced they both cancelled on me.  The price of ETH was much lower than it is now so people were already getting scared.

Also once the profitability drops way below $1/day/gpu then there will be alot of people who won't see the investment as wise. Like why buy a $1000 GPU to make less than $1/day. The ROI will be almost 3 years. Even if ROI was gauranteed many won't see it as a good investment and they will just put their money in stocks.

Where I live, price still the same, actually is a lot more expensive, 3070 is being sold for 2500 usd and 3080 for 4000 usd, 3090 for 5000 usd, insane prices. Before the bs, the 3070's were being sold for 600 usd each.

with the future passage of eth to pos instead of pow i believe that a part of the current miners will abandon this occupation even if there is much more to mine, the gpu will begin to be find(finally)  in the online stores and hopefully also at more reasonable prices

afaik people money stuck on the bear market, they will save to buy some expected dip on the future and wont spare to build another rig.
So, supply increased will the demand decreased. If you want to make it sold faster, i think u need to lower the price before another seller start to do it first.

In the different places different prices. In the city with several millions citizens - there more GPUs then in small town. In such cities prices change quicker. In my city the prices slowly moves down about 3-4 weeks.

yeah, small town prices were good before the gpu price plague hit them. before cities there are countries that got high price first before others.

Funny 🤣, here I am waiting for a GPU to start doing 1$ per day before investing more money on GPU, I'm planning to build rigs with rtx3080 and AMD rx5700xt I'm sure this is coming by end of the year or early 2022, here In my country GPU price are still the same but I plan on buy from eBay or Amazon instead, can't wait.

If you can service mining equipment - you can buy used GPU for prices less then you will see at eBay or Amazon. I bought in the end of 2018 and they were nice and cheap.

Prices are still very high but at least I see more and more retailers now actually have cards in stock and prices slowly decrease.

I suspect come August there will be a lot of GPUs hitting the market that were mining ETH.  It also makes you wonder where all of that hashrate is going to go.  Ravencoin?  Beam?  Will that cause a massive price spike as GPU miners search for a profitable way to mine with their gear, or will we see a sale on GPUs the likes we've never seen before?  Personally, I think a bit of both.  There are going to be some big opportunities in the coming months as this scenario plays out, weave your way through the markets carefully.

probably the old models, but not the latest models. some 3xxx have not ROI'd yet and the lack of supply means there are not as many going around as the previous bear market sell off.
