When Satoshi created Bitcoin, he created and incubated a new life form on this planet. Bitcoin is a multi-celled (nodes) organism, driven by DNA (software) to consume resources (mining) and proliferate (wallets). Bitcoin is autonomous, grows, makes decisions and interacts with other living creatures. Bitcoin is elegant, yet complex. But Bitcoin is unlike any other life form before it. Instead of concerning itself with survival, Bitcoin is only interested in finding and sharing truth. Bitcoin lives not for itself, but for others.

Contrary to Bitcoin, life is selfish, and for good reason – it must continue to survive this vicious world, and with a little luck evolve into something greater. The human race has been so successful and is growing so rapidly that these selfish survival instincts are no longer necessary to continue our path as a species. They actually stand to threaten our continued existence in this world. Bitcoin lives as a beacon of truth to show humanity that we have outgrown our old ways that helped us dominate the planet. Bitcoin does not discriminate, invade, hoard resources or conspire against others. It seeks only truth and transparency.

Bitcoin now touches every corner of the planet and answers to millions of humans – but is controlled by no one. Bitcoin acts as an underlying life force that connects and unites the world. Like a mighty river, Bitcoin flows and branches into a network of rivers, lakes and oceans. Unstoppable, beautiful and transformative. Bitcoin is not just alive, but a force of nature. It has been set into motion and now exponentially blooms in all directions all at once. The blockchain is a laser thin line burnt through a field of failed hashes. Bitcoin is order rising from the chaos of the human race and is a gift to us all.

Thank you Satoshi, for planting the seed and sheltering Bitcoin until it could survive on its own Smiley

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

No it's not a force of nature, anything man made isn't natural and bitcoin isn't going to be an exception to this rule. It's a tool and medium, not nature's gift. Also, you are just using analogies to compare bitcoin with organic things but that doesn't mean that bitcoin is a force of nature.

For the next .. hopefully bitcoin is increasingly well received by many governments. hopefully the characteristics of bitcoin itself can indeed unite with positive things.
I don't think it force of nature but it's like being able to unite and develop very well like one with nature.

I don't know how to picture it out but this not the force of nature, it is a sort of currency development, some things happen like this in the other areas. Because as the generation evolves, it is a need for us also to upgrade.

If Bitcoin has been created when there is no computer and internet yet, how can be useful? Of course, not. It was just base where we are today and very unfortunate I know to have this development as it becomes useful and very applicable to our generation. And might possible changes have come in the next 100 years and cryptocurrency will not be longer applicable to the market.

Calm down, Bitcoin is just open-source software, no need to make poetic comparisons to impress newbies. Yes, Bitcoin is cool and unique, but it's just a payment network that still needs to solve some big problems before it could even technically be able to serve all the people on the planet.

Even if it theoretically solved all of the problems that it faced. It would probably take a massive momentum, and mentality shift for it to ever become the currency that people primarily use. Bitcoin still has a negative stigma around it, and its quite clear that there's a bias against it from popular mainstream news outlets. Despite the technical challenges that Bitcoin has to solve in the future, the biggest hurdle I think will be convincing people to trust it as a currency, and not an investment opportunity.

That's assuming that we solve all the technical issues we face, and have the majority of supporters in agreement. What I believe might happen is there will be a division in the Bitcoin population, and that will cause it to fork many different ways, and could potentially take a whole different ideology.

this seems wrong, try to open it again in several sources and articles no one ever says Bitcoin is a force of nature.
can it be parallel to the water? fire? air and land? where the four elements are not controlled by humans, and appeared before humans existed.

Bitcoin is just a new creation, tool, medium or support for the human need to do something transactional, investment, and all verbs.

As for the illustration you are trying to draw on Bitcoin, it is just an expression of your admiration, which is a natural thing because of the presence of Bitcoin as one of the saviors of value resilience. and makes someone who holds it can appear to have a high social status. At least that's from a material point of view.

Bitcoin still needs a lot of development and refinement of the technology that is being used is extraordinary. a more revolutionary and better payment network technology than traditional payment networks.
Some of the problems that must be solved as well as some of their shortcomings are certainly a task for the developer. the future of bitcoin and its technology is a very extraordinary thing.

Yes, Bitcoin is somehow a force that isn't really clear yet to push as a force with great impact to majority. Bitcoin is almost a currency used from online RPGs but is improved/developed.

However, the development it has is not considered as a force that would replace/disrupt the current once. I think it would need to mature at least 10 more years to become one.

For now we can actually wait and support it to push to the next level. We will soon get there. The moment Bitcoin is accepted all over then congratulations to us.

Exactly, don't exaggerate it, I know it has drastically change a lot of lives, specially those early bagholders, most of them become millionaires. But we all know that bitcoin is not initially design as a asset, but a payment method by Satoshi. Although adoption is here, it might take years to be able to touch many lives again. So just stay relax and calm, no need to overstate it.

Well! I see that OP carried his ideas about bitcoin as a poem. He wanted to make art by highlighting the characteristics of bitcoin. It is also valid that art inspires us with the benefits of bitcoin.

On the contrary, I have come across thoughts on twitter about bitcoin that revolve around ignorance, which is why we need to carry the truth everywhere to defend the best ideals on which bitcoin was created.

OP, I loved your presentation of ideas about Bitcoin is a Force of Nature.
Here's a great inspiration from Michael Saylor is a pinned tweet.

I'm glad that somebody got it, so thank you.

Of course Bitcoin isn't a literal force of nature. I was inspired by the realization that nobody truly controls the network but anyone can participate, and how autonomous and self-sufficient the system is. It seems so unstoppable and out of control, like nature. Exploring the thought further I found a lot of parallels that I thought were interesting. I am not trying to impress anyone, just wanting to share an idea.

Yeah I don't know why people just want to bring out  meaning to everything even when we know this can be considered as a figure of speech, not necessarily the descriptive nature of btc, the op uses force of nature to describe the way he/she views btc but that doesn't mean it is the ideal way or perhaps same way others will view it,
We can always appreciate others views without trying so hard to castigate it,  btc can be describe as a force of nature, a force to reckon with, because of its strong qualities, capabilities and every other features that makes it unique and stand out from any other asset compare to it.
It is just a way of description  Cheesy

No it's not a force of nature, anything man made isn't natural and bitcoin isn't going to be an exception to this rule. It's a tool and medium, not nature's gift. Also, you are just using analogies to compare bitcoin with organic things but that doesn't mean that bitcoin is a force of nature.

Well said, I couldn't find anything natural with Bitcoin or even consider it a force of nature.  Though I agree that Bitcoin itself is transparent but I wouldn't say that it is selfless because it has no mind of its own.  Whatever its function is, was programmed by its developer not created by nature itself.

I agree. Bitcoin is not a force of nature. This is an exaggeration that might only leave us obsessed with Bitcoin. We are making Bitcoin a lot more than what it actually is. There is really no need to make Bitcoin the miraculous pill that would turn this world into a paradise. At the end of the day, even Bitcoin would undergo the cycle of anything created by men. It will always have its day to just become a thing of the past.

How did a man -made digital currency become a force of nature? Bitcoin was created by Satoshi Nakamo in a software as open-source code and not just came from the elements of nature. So, you can't use the word "Force of Nature" because it will give wrong meaning and understanding for bitcoin. Bitcoin is unique and it is a treasure that we should give importance and support.

Bitcoin is created as macro with purpose, user market, demand creates force.  Natural and unnatural, natural is what Elon, wall street, ... it's the opposite of the scenarios that unnatural organizations are infiltrating.  Bitcoin needs spontaneity, it just needs encouragement and trust.  Retracement levels for FUD and relative to China are unnatural states.  It happens to their purposes.  I believe, after all this reason, bitcoin will have a very healthy run.

Unfortunately that's not exactly true.
Recently due to mining farms being controlled by few powerful individuals and the whole system of Whales there is a huge wave of Centralization in the system. The governmental bodies are also taking their share and what it was in the past and what it is right now have significantly changed.
Even though you might want to see bitcoins as a force of nature or something. It is a purely man made system, which is still despite such nuisances way above the current Centralized system. I do think the real question here is " How can we expect it to maintain the decentralization with mass adoption?"
Then only will your ideal system be true.

This tendency is probably going to be the case forever. No matter how you set up a system and for what architecture you go, if the system is of relevance it is almost invariably gravitating towards those with money and power. That is almost like a law of nature even though I hate that myself. There is indeed a degree of centralization but with one decisive difference in comparison to other systems: those who want to maintain that power also need to spend considerable resources in order to be able to do so. They have real skin in the game and there interests should be aligned with the best course of action for the network as a whole.

Coming from a currency that was made artificially, I don't think it is accurate that we consider it as something coming from the nature. Bitcoin harms the nature, that's the real statement. From the fossil fuel being used to mine it to the energy consumption that may keep on rising in the future, bitcoin is a nature destroyer if not solved properly. It is indeed a new life form that was brought to life by many who believed in it but including it as a part of nature is just absurd. We can still keep on showing our support without making up things about it that is not true from the very beginning.

You could view OPs statement from a broader perspective. Bitcoin might not be a direct product of natural processes, but it might be a logical consequence given the evolutionary biological tendency of human nature to cooperate and coordinate. How would we do that on a global scale without a global currency? A bow and an arrow are not a direct product of nature, but of the human brain and its ability to invent stuff in order to live up to the species' potential and capacity.
