Is there something wrong with Coinmarketcap today? I have tried to both log in to my old account:

Anyone facing the same thing? I'm pretty sure it's not the internet, nor the browser since I have tried to use their phone app as well.

Same thing happened to me, so it's not working and maybe this is new Chinese crackdown because we know that Binance owns Coinmarketcap no but really why would you need to login to Coinmarket and why don't you use much better Coingecko instead?

Although, I was able to make use of the app right now, but I signed out and unable to sign it. I tried forgot password, a code was sent to the email I used to register but the app not bringing up the space to fill in the code and displayed this error:

Maybe the Chinese crackdown but I think Binance CEO do not relate his crypto business with his country China when he already experienced some issue back in 2017 or so that led him to move Binance out of the country to Japan. Although the reason is not yet clear, but I think it could just be a minor technical issue which will be solved soon.

I'm checking their Twitter account looks like there are some issues on their end. If you check their twitter there is some user unable to access their portfolios, so does the login problem.

Although the reason is not yet clear, but I think it could just be a minor technical issue which will be solved soon.

Although China has been taking measures to prevent crypto activities in this country, however, I think it is not the cause that Coinmarketcap is not showing up now. Moreover, if China implements blocking of cryptocurrency activities, this activity will only be effective for internet users here, other places can still use it normally, the weird thing is I've been using it for most of the day today and haven't had any problems

The positive side is that more people are starting to use Coingecko.

I realize that Coingecko is more "independent" (provide more accurate data) since it's not owned by any of the exchanges/projects listed there but I'm just using CMC for the UI, really.

I did not noticed this before, or maybe it is just newly added, below login and create an account is 'continue to CoinMarketCap', click on it. It will bring out the latest what is new in CoinMarketCap which is version 3.3.10, below it is 'continue on CoinMarketCap', click on it again, you will be able to access it like Coingecko, not necessarily need to login again like before, but I do not know if someone will be able to manage his/her portfolio without no loggin in, but you will be able to check market, exchanges and the likes as usual.

I used two devices to login now and it worked perfectly. Before, I was unable to use two devices to log in as the previously loggin in device will log out immediately after newly logged in on another device. It is truly now working perfectly.

I have been tracking the traffic of both sites since last year, coingecko has been a site hundred of million of people are visiting often, but I still noticed people that visit CoinMarketCap is twice as many as that of Coincogecko.

The problem is solved. I can log in. I have recently switched to coingecko, at the beginning I wasn't enthusiastic, but now I like this tracker more and more. Of course I also use CMC to get full information, but now my favorite is definitely CG.

Coinmarketcap logged in also,,, so no problems for me either yesterday or today.

Curious about OP, are you also logged in to use the Learn and Earn program like me? I never sign up until today for any of the market data or blockchain explorer accounts I use:) Except CMC because of their Earn program.

Glad that you did Copingecko was also recommended to me by my online friend and explain some of its great features you can create an account there and create your portfolio so you can track if you are making a profit or losing on your portfolio, they also offer rewards by accumulating candies and you can use that to get their freebies or discounts from their affiliated merchants.

Hope you are using the latest version which is now light to use?

I just used an email to register on the site now and it worked. I logout and login and it worked. I prefer not to use email to be accessing the site because it is possible like, but likely you have a portfolio on the site with your account is what came my mind.

But, maybe someone with old account can also comment about this.

everything works as usual for me. on both versions, on the web application and on the mobile device's app.
it's hard for me to remember too many passwords for different services and I hardly ever log out, I noticed that once every ten days it asks me to re-login, but that's all.
I guess you need to clear cookies or even try to log in from a different browser.

I used my Binance account and it works with no hiccups. I'm not sure why it's like that though. Maybe it's with the browser or something with the JavaScript or whatever it is they use?

Maybe try to forget password just to test it again? Just like what Charles-Tim said?

These login problems happen quite regularly. I have also had it a few times that I tried to log in and different error messages popped up. I don't think the issue is on your side.

Have you tried it again today? Is it working again? I just checked my account and I am able to login.

you can update your portfolio tracker, smart alerts, watchlist etc which are just some of the many features accessible for log-in users

I appreciate everyone's response. I tried some of the suggestions given, but nothing really worked. I simply kept retrying and the problem fixed itself today apparently.
