We have a Trending Posts widget on our site theme that sorts posts by Wordpress' default post view count. However, this metric is susceptible to abuse by bots/visitors who simply refresh the page to increase the count and manipulate the widget.

I have created part of a plugin to solve this issue, it reads rows from the "Post View Columns" plugin's table in the Wordpress DB. The function that updates the meta values from the DB input is complete, but I'm not a good plugin writer so I want to offload the work to someone else.

I will add you to the repository of the unfinished plugin, and your task is to complete it, and then test the plugin (extremely important! No test no pay) to make sure it works properly. For this task I will pay you $150 in bitcoin. PM me if you're interested and I'll send you the details about it.
