This page should serve as a warning to not “invest” in the low level alts as most of the alts from 2013 and mid 2014 aren’t even in existence anymore, to my knowledge.

Unless the altcoin you are investing in is implementing some new technology that is an improvement on what existing coins offer, it is probably best to stay away.

Probably they wont do that as they only deemed showed are historical figures but if they will have that feature then much better. I guess thats leave to users due diligence either he will invest or not as info like this already existed and make much sense to those figures.

Old projects can sometime create new or subproject for that tech alone thats why this space is too much saturated with based dev who literally will do anything to farm users.

This is going to be very useful to me.
I've spent the last 10 minutes just going through different dates and although it shouldn't be a surprise to see how a lot of altcoins perform so poorly, it still surprises me.

Some coins are over 10 years old and not even worth up to a dollar. Some were worth over $10 in the past but are nowhere to be found.
I have a couple of people around me that won't give up on shitcoins, maybe this will help my case against them because I know it will definitely help me.
One thing is certain looking at those numbers "only Bitcoin is constant"

What I do not understand is how some of the market cap of these coins keep increasing even though their prices remain less than less than a dollar

It's due to new coins coming into circulation.
Because Marketcap is calculated by circulating coins x price per coin = marketcap.
And when more coins are coming into circulation, which is a big problem for many shitcoins, price goes down per coin.
It's called "dilution", supplies of each coin are getting diluted and prices per coin are getting devalued when many new coins are coming into circulation.
A little bit like inflation, when new USD is printed but inflation is much lower for USD compared to most shitcoins.

Shitcoins often don't have a max supply like Bitcoin has (21,000,000 coins) and are at high risk of suffering from massive inflation.

I've exposed some common tricks of shitcoins (Polkadot) here: Bitcoin vs. Altcoins – projected Marketcap
Polkadot is a good example how each coin is getting devalued / diluted due to many new coins coming into circulation.

This is a research down memory lane, I thank the OP for sharing the links so we can understand the hysterical pertans of altcoins, to help us in knowing those that have stood the test of time and others that have been forgotten. It should be a reminder for investors to carry out thorough research before putting money in altcoins, they should know how long the coins have survived in the market and the innovations of their developer teams, because the hysterical facts states that many of them have become worthless. This is why I still prefer top altcoins that have proven their reputations like Bitcoin, and are still profitable in the crypto space, a good example is Ethereum.
