To make really good profit you need to know about good projects very early. As soon as the first news starts circulating that people have made a lot of profit with Project XX, the ship has sailed, at least if you want to make short-term profits. If you prefer long-term investments, you can invest a little later, even if some people have already made x10 or more with a project. Of course, this statement doesn't apply to all the meme coins, because 99% of them are dead again after a few weeks.
So where to get those information? I personally would not trust any influencers on social media. Most of the time they just shill the tokens that they own themself to dump on their poor audience. Hey mate it's very difficult to identify or analyse a good projects which is very profitable. I advise you to invest only good reputed centralized exchanges launched projects like Binance and Kucoin listing projects.

The thing you need to understand about ICO is a pump and dump so you should always grab that kind of opportunity to earn more, this pump and dump can make you money as long as you have bought at its early stage, then hold it for some weeks until it pumps then sell it. Do not hold it in the long term because ICO and newly release coins cannot survive in a long run.

Like I said before, it's impossible to tell anymore with projects so you're right. You have now to assume that every new offering has to be pump and dump because well, very few of them have any good reason to raise money.

Sad but if you are not careful you'll end up losing a  lot. But for those who wanted to learn more the announcement section will help. If you are seeking for projects that have good potentials reading those information and try to go deeper by participating with the social channels that those teams have.

You can see how they are working if you follow their social media accounts, most of the time the team updates usng their social media channels to inform thir supporters, any positive updates may affects the value of the token, make sure to keep yourself updated.
