But if I could only pick one, I think I would choose Matic over Sol, with polygon I see better growth potential than Sol, their prices are still relatively low so the potential for profit is better. Solana has grown a lot and with the recent incidents, Solana needs a lot of time to regain the community's trust.

In my honest opinion, Matic and Solana are both good long-term holdings, but if you ask me which of the two smart contracts I would use, I would prefer to use Matic compared to Solana, because at least I saw the its features and functions compared to solana. The constant hacking of Solana wallets makes it more vulnerable in investing in Solana, I learnt that the recent hack also targeted accounts that has been inactive for up to six months, imagine thinking that you have your coin saved in a private wallet and eventually you found that you have been hacked. If not for the hacking issue I prefer Solana more than polygon matic. Both coin are strong fundamentally but I think that Solana is more way ahead of matic

Both have upsides and downsides based on my experience in doing transactions with them. What I like for both MATIC and SOL is that both have extremely cheap transaction fees.

As for the downside, MATIC sometimes is subject to network congestions that would lead to the transaction being delayed either for participating in token sales, buying an NFT, etc. As for Solana, they have numerous network outages from time to time.

So for now, I remained both neutral in both of them.

Hacked cases usually if happening with team its self give bad impact with price going dump, but I think what happened with Solana exploit on Slope wallet this mistake not from Solana developer. I think all trader if save their fund on wallet ever get hack, I got twice hacked and loss much money when saving my assets on myetherwallet. I don't think what mistake I made because suddenly loss my fund without connecting yet with my wallet to exchange dapp like Uniswap or other dapp exchange.

Extra security is the best defense. If you do care about your funds, it's always good to go deeper with doing your research to avoid

any possible attacks with your wallet, if you know how to use some extra layer of security, your funds
is safer than those who don't have anything, though hackers are hackers and if they really wanted to

what is your options or opinions?

There are few projects I am really into and they are running on solana, this is what makes me have less zeal for the projects,  why solana? I have less confidence on this project because my gut keeps telling me that it could be the next Luna.

We should look more into the cryptocurrency's stability/reliability rather than the features it provides. Despite Solana being extremely fast and cheap to use, it's not a coin you can trust for the long haul because of its unstable Blockchain network. MATIC is a much better option, because it makes a balance between decentralization and scalability. One project worth mentioning here is Avalanche. It's a smart contract platform that's compatible with the EVM (just like MATIC), but takes a different approach to scalability.

I think both AVAX and MATIC are extremely undervalued considering their potential to change the "De-Fi" space for the better. I don't get why Solana is still among the top coins in market cap, after all it's been through since its inception. Constant network outages and hacks would force anyone to get out of the SOL "blockchain" as soon as possible. Yet, whales are "pumping" it for some reason. At least, everything is open-sourced these days. If Solana fails, there's nothing stopping the community from creating a fork that puts decentralization above all else. Just my opinion
