Hi guys

There is obviously a lot of knowledge on this forum and I wonder if I could ask you guys to help me identify some of the coins in my collection..

(I went on a bit of a spree when everything peaked a few months back..literally bought anything I could get my hands on haha)

They can be viewed here: https://imgur.com/gallery/Qk1zpek

Thank you, loving this site now...been into BTC for 6 years and never knew this existed!

My best guess is that these coins are sort of replicas of coins and tokens like Casascius (Coin 1-3) and the 4th has a Ravenbit kind of design attached to it.
Especially if the coins have no hologram on their reverse side they are more at the lower end/high number of produced pieces from unknown sources/not a cold storage at all of what you are looking for.

Here is a good start to read and there should be some pdf-files free to download on the website, too, that give a very good overview over all coins of interest: https://www.cryptonumist.com/casascius-gallery/

The 2 gold with the binary were produced by an Australian coin company that I think is now out of business.
think it was called "sbss mint" or something close.
There is also a "One-Fifth / 50 mills" smaller coin that completes the set.

The "Cold Storage Token" was made by a random ebay person from California
They did originally come with holograms and some early ones were sold assembled/loaded.

And the last coin to my knowledge, was just a random Cas "replica" that was made back in 2013 era, when coin like this were more prevalent, ie: Microsoul, others

Hope this helps Cheesy

I have actually discussed I think almost all of these coins with MinerJones before as well.  I also own all four myself.  While they may be pretty "worthless" in the grand scheme of things, they are still an interesting part of physical cryptocurrency history.  I'm curious, before showing up on this forum, where did you do most of your buying of physical cryptocurrency coins..was it mainly just ebay or are there any other sites out there you've used?

Never hurts to get a second opinion or in this case lots of them. Especially when dealing with these types of collectibles. I’m sure there are plenty of people out there sitting on gold mines that don’t even realize it. Back in the day Casascius coins were flying around pretty liberally. I have no doubt plenty of them are sitting in drawers of people who have no idea what they are worth.

Hello guys...not sure how to reply directly to people or to tag them in a post...

ChiBit... Yes I have bought almost everything from ebay...then i got a bit more wise and went directly to the sites themselves...I have 3 or 4 denarium coins, some shibe mint doge stuff, some Finite By Design bits...and from ebay I have magazines, I have a cryptomatic bitcoin watch, and ancora bitcoin pen and some pretty strange pieces of crypto history!

OgNasty...the legend himself! I used to have a mining seat with NastyFans, like 3 or 4 years ago, when I literally knew next to nothing (I just knew I had to have some of this stuff!)...still got an amazing large coin and then some of the smaller coins too. Great quality.

In regards to the Casascius coins floating about...I wish I had one in the back of the draw haha! Thats one I don't have in my collection, and its unlikely I ever will now..but I do have some of those aluminium things that are official but are hardly the real thing!

Thanks for the replies gents, hard to find people as passionate about these things in real life...in fact, my mates get bored everytime I bring my crypto collection out hahaha

lol, just dont.
I am often asked (more during the last bull run) "So Edits, youre into Bitcoin, how much do you have?" "Not enough I keep spending it" "what, you can spend it? what do you spend it on?" "I buy these collectible Bitcoin physical coins, here let me show you the forum" IMMEDIATELY the eyes roll back and glaze over.

You have found your people. Welcome.
