I've seen people that lost their live savings, their families, their homes and still kept gambling. An elderly dude I knew was spending all of his monthly income in casinos. He just didn't care. I am not sure what it is but I think the ambiance of the casino makes him feel like an important person because outside of the casino he is just a nobody, a loser but inside, he is the king shit that receives respect from the employees of the casino.
There are still many people out there whose lives are ruined due to gambling without control, and in fact their actions will only destroy the future of their children and their families later, maybe they don't realize that the friendliness of the casino service will drag them into a hell hole.
Actually, it's not wrong to gamble just for entertainment, but of course we must be able to control our financial system well and also our emotions so that we don't get caught up in gambling addiction later.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

These can be very different reasons. This will certainly differ from person to person. What is normal for one person may already be a sign that more than normal gambling is going on for another. If you enter an addiction phase, you should try to get out of it as quickly as possible. Write down the symptons.

I don't think it would be very much possible for the person to get out of the addiction after getting into it without realizing it.
Most of the people who get into the addiction to gambling always chase down their losses till losing it all and repeating the same cycle again and again.

Useless someone close to watch their habits they will not be able to get out of it.

With that attitude a person would continue to lose their money, cause even they win in some point greed will come after, thinking that luck finally guiding them so instead of quitting and enjoy for a while they will continue and lose it all back to the house.

This kind of problem is very common to most gamblers. Without proper balance with their gambling habits, this sign will lead them to addictions.

Practice to stop and always in control of your activities is very important to manage beating this problem.

It can easily be said than done to get out of it immediately. That's where the struggle starts for the addicted gamblers, they barely get out of it by doing it alone.
And most of the time, they cannot distinguish that they're already in the addiction phase because they are in the denial stage.
You are not wrong, like when I was gambling, it stopped when it appeared to my family after losing a very huge amount belonging to my father, it was almost $3000. Before that time, I have lost large amount of money more than $10000. Though no family help but j know that it is high time I stopped for it not to affect my life because nothing good is coming out of the addiction. The best part will be to let people know, you family and friends so they can help you, especially family has a big role to play in this.
Yes, they can help you out and it's going to make you feel guilty when you're gambling not with your own money. And that's why you'll do the repetition that you must acquire it back when you've lost a big amount already and then if you've lost again, you have no choice but to get it back again and use the money of anyone where you're getting money until you realize that you're doing it wrong and it's not doing anything good to you anymore.

Good wives/husbands do not allow a family to break up because of any addictions of one family member. Such problems need to be solved together because a gambling addict is not able to cope alone. If the family is falling apart then it is likely that there are more serious problems within the family than gambling addiction.
Exactly! I don’t get why people state that gambling addiction ruins families so often, that says a lot about the willingness of family members to help each other overcome problems. In some cases, there can be alcohol or drug abusers, or people with psychiatric disorders, but you don’t abandon them for that, IMO it’s very wrong.
I will have to disagree, I have seen some instances of people getting addicted to alcohol and I have seen their family members fight to the best of their ability to keep the family intact, but if one of the family members is so dysfunctional then sometimes there is no other choice, this is not a decision that is taken lightly and it takes years to take form, after all the partner that is not addicted also has to think on the well-being of the rest of the family especially if there are kids involved, also sometimes that is the wake up call those that are addicted need to get out of addiction as they realize they have lost everything because of it.

Of course it happens that way. I know of cases where people with very severe alcoholism and drug addiction have returned to a normal life only thanks to their family. That is why we should not underestimate the role of family in the fight against gambling addiction. Also gaming addiction is much easier to treat than alcohol or drug addiction.
Basically, something that keeps their family intact is love and also the family's patience to deal with addiction problems from one of their family members, they or families who are broken because of addiction are those who do not have patience and a high sense of love. The simple thing is that an addict has basically ruined the family name and if the family doesn't accept it then of course, the family can leave that one person even though he is a family member and cases like this are also common.

Ok, let's assume you are right, and you indeed may be right here. But what does "love" mean when you have a highly addicted husband putting the family home on the line? Love can also mean to kick your husband in the ass as if there was no tomorrow because you want him to get back on his feet. Just to get this straight here, love doesn't always have to mean hugs and kisses, and in some circumstances hugs and kisses may even cause more harm than good. Love can mean brutal measures to fight brutal problems. Take the kids and leave for a while, shock therapy to the addict. That could be much better to help the addict regain a realistic experience and perception of reality.

Definitely true. It will be harsh as it will sound when a wife shouts get up and back to work but this could be what an irresponsible husband needs to get up and realize he has responsibilities. Gambling addiction is almost not very different from having a drug addiction which could lead to a dysfunctional family. All the members suffer when a husband is not cooperative in a family.

The moment that a husband couldn't provide for his family, he really needs a hard slap or realization. Some fathers even do the worse things in life just to provide.

Fucking love cannot feed you when you are hungry, Love cannot pay your bills when the due comes , and love cannot sustain forever if only one is working on it so Have your love but i will have my life.

I can live without love but i cannot live without food and money so either you kick your Love away , or [punch them to wake up and do their things to let us live.

it is your choice and it is your decision to make.

It's normal to have ideas for strategy every now and then which you would think would improve your gambling experiences or oftentimes the chances of you winning more games. As a responsible gambler you should put winning and securing those wins over how many games you play. To have dreams however, I feel like it falls under borderline gambling addiction. And if you have intrusive thoughts about gambling riddling you almost everyday, you might need to have yourself be checked. It's always better to prevent something than medicating to make it go away.
As we know, gambling always has a negative impact on every player, ranging from addiction, criminal acts such as stealing and so on. So one sign if they are addicted to gambling is when they place bets no longer just for fun, but those who are addicted usually place bets to relieve anxiety so as not to miss the moment.
Well it always depends on how you handle gambling as a player. There are well-off players out there that can gamble huge amounts of cash without worry, and there are people who win big from nothing, but of course they are part of only a small percentile of gamblers. Thing is, as a small-gambler, we have to be responsible for our mental health and our money, and once you were able to do that, no amount of gambling can get on your nerves.

I have my own thing to check is that if I can stay away for a week and not login to the gambling sites means I am doing well. As well since I do not just run or play to only make money and more to just have more fun and make few friends worldwide and know them etc just helps so that you are not really addicted or cannot stay away from it. If I decide today for next week I would not be login and can manage to do that means nothing to worry for me.

This is another height of strong decipline. Having a strong control over your actions is a way of keeping your self in check and noticing if you are getting addicted or not. Staying a week without gambling a your own will is really a good checkmate for how much control you have over your passion and this if applied to other areas of life will give you a good life result.

Many can't do that.

Those gamblers that have self control and can maintain themselves to keep checking if they're still okay or not. And if they can abstain from gambling within a week or two.

They have a good self control.

As small gamblers, we must take care of our money from losing big because that can impact our emotions and can attract us to use the other money to continue gamble.
The responsibility will always be needed in terms of playing gambling and trying to quit gambling before our money runs out.
But when we often playing gambling without having responsibility, that can lead us to have a sign of gambling addiction.
Maybe someday, we can get lucky winning from some gambling game but we do not have to force ourselves to continue playing if we do not see the luck is not with us.

It needs practice and real discipline, let's be honest that it's one of the hardest thing to do, once we enjoy gambling we are forgetting about this especially when we are winning, we think that it's our day and we keep playing and playing until we lose. Player needs to know its limitation and starting to practice it from time to time is a great start in my opinion.

I like that somewhat challenge towards addicted gamblers out there.
If you aren't an addicted one, can you stop gambling for a week. If you did then you aren't.

I don't think that many gamblers whether they are addicted or not can do it. One week without gambling especially if gambling is already their hobby would be hard for them to do and I understand them since its their own self and own life. We've seen many effects of gambling addiction and many gamblers who got addicted didn't ended up good. Some are still rehabilitating until now, some are still gambling out there, some became crazy and worst some even committed suicide. Don't let yourself get addicted into gambling Smiley. Being addicted into gambling will not give you any benefits at all.

Yes, discipline is easy to say but not easy to practice, even if you realize it. I've experienced this when I was betting on poker and I realized about discipline, initially playing with complete control to occasionally take a break when betting even though it was a win. But in the end I felt if I continued that I might get bigger wins, so I lost in a very short time. So yes, discipline is only easy as a theory, because in reality if we still can't control our passions then we will still be trapped in defeat and that is also a sign that you are addicted because you will be obsessed with taking back what has been lost.

Most gamblers have that attitude, thinking that pushing your luck and try to win more instead of allowing yourself to bag
some profits and enjoy after quitting.

Nature inside that greed really plays such a role, giving you that mindset to try for more and forget about your limitations.
Discipline, emotion control, bankroll managements, everything is good when you are compiling your strategy, but once you are into executions, things always change, either too much emotions or heavy greediness that fills up inside you.

They have a good self control.
The people that can do that do no really have a problem with their gambling since they can exercise such a level of self-control, it is kind of ironic that those that can do so are always worried about not getting addicted when the chances they will do so are very low, while those that could make use of that kind of introspection and see if they are showing some signs they are addicted are precisely the ones that are never going to worry about such a thing.

Set hard limits on your gambling every month and if you go beyond that limit then you have a addition and you should probably stop gambling.
