His last thread has to be some kind of record. "Will not stay above $30k for 10 consecutive days ever again." It then immediately goes above $30k, and 10 days later it is still there. His prediction literally couldn't have been proved wrong any faster than it was. At least when most people make super bearish price predictions it takes a few months to rally and prove them wrong, and not literally as soon as physically possible.

Maybe we can add him to the list of bitcoin obituaries. As an aside, I really like the new timeline layout they have on their site: https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-obituaries/

I think what alot of people have in their minds right now is a repeat of 2013 pretty much. Basically for those who werent around in 2013. It had 2 tops, it had a top in April and another one in Nov. Now when I got started with crypto, I remember everybody in June/July 2013 saying that "BTC is dead, will go back to $10 a coin" and it traded sideways and eventually bottomed out in July sometime. Then it started to trend up.

It break ATH and then got really crazy in the month of November when it peaked at $1100. What is interested is that people in July 2013 assumed that it would be a long bear market, they had no idea it bottomed out. Just like last month we all assumed it would go to $20K at least. So I don't know what the ATH will be again however it'll most likely peak this Nov/Dec 2021.

Pretty right. There's a lot of selling pressure everytime Bitcoin hit the 40K level especially the 42K which is showing great resistance. Bitcoin is crumbling again and showing a very bad sign for another dip. This is a very bad news for the general market in case there another since the 28k to 29k support was barely holding the last time Bitcoin visit that price level.

I hear what you are saying.. but at the same time I am thinking, ONLY 10 days above $100k?

But, I suppose we have to start somewhere, and there is a kind of Lindy effect that people likely realize when the BTC price stays up in certain areas for certain periods of time, then there develops some kinds of norm creation for the price to return and exceed the previously established levels, even if sometimes it might take more than 3 years to get to that previous point and to sustain new prices above the previous point....

We've seen it again and again.... so get past $64,895 first, and then get to $100k.. perhaps above that price (is such $100k price sustainable or not, or might we have some resistance there?).. then above and beyond at some point... this cycle or in the next one?

Anyhow, back to the thread, we know that these various prices of $30k, $40k and $50k or price goals for ants, so they are likely to be in the rear view mirror soon enough...

I hate to proclaim too much, but still thinking that any of these price might have decent chances of NOT being visited again.. let's say a few years down the road when we get to the bottom of the next cycle.. but for now they are still areas to get over.. and maybe accumulate more if you have cash coming in  or accumulate more if you just feel comfortable getting a bit extra BTC... of course, accumulating more if you have no BTC, but should be a given for any peeps following these threads, that getting off zero is a kind of baseline that everyone should have already met that part.. so then once getting off of zero and once getting some BTC, such as 1% to 10% of your portfolio or more, then the next question would just be to figure out in terms if you want to continue to be fairly aggressive or not.. which gets us back to the question of possibly overly accumulating a wee bit... just for funzies....

It does not tend to be a very sound practice to be trading bitcoin based on internet rumors or even shorter-term speculations.  The people who have done better/best in bitcoin seem to be ones who buy and hold through a couple of cycles or longer..

Of course, you can continue to buy BTC if you do not have a strong cashflow which also has tended to do well, and would be consider dollar cost averaging investing, but if you are screwing around with trading or trying to figure out sentiment, you may well get tricked out of holding onto your bitcoin, which is what you need to have when the BTC price is going up.. presuming that we will get UP from here at some point.

Well, this is just a theory ... I think we need to get rid of the background noise so that the events unfold as you said, and as PlanB predicts. Since looking at the billions dollar capitalizations of other shitty coins, it becomes obvious that the declared amount of money in the capitalization of all altcoins is fiction. I am leading to the fact that I am looking forward to an extremely negative scenario for alternative cryptocurrencies, scenario against which Bitcoin will be able to take its well-deserved place in the form of 80-85% of the value of the entire cryptocurrency market. I hope I'm not too skeptical, although I have every right to do so given my experience, (experience of losing money).

Oh for sure I have posted quite a bit regarding PlanB's stock to flow theory, and many aspects of PlanB's theory predate him, so surely his efforts to plot out the historical BTC price performance data and to repackage it in terms of projecting forward has a lot of validity, even though we know for sure that the future is not guaranteed in terms of the model having imbedded guarantees but of course, trends and probabilities to stay in conformity with the trendlines.

Anyhow, in the past couple of years, I have tended to package PlanB's theory in terms of being the best of the BTC price prediction models so long as it is coupled with the four-year fractal (of course somewhat redundant with plan B but worth it's own separate repeating) and the idea (model) of exponential s-curve adoption based on Metcalfe principles and networking effects... so anyhow, from my perspective there is a need to account for all three of those BTC price prediction models when considering bitcoin price dynamics, both long term and short term, but of course, many of us appreciate that in the short-term BTC prices tend to be all over the place, so those three models tend to provide guidance for longer-term BTC price dynamic ideas rather than giving us a lot of clues regarding where BTC prices may or may not go (or not go) in shorter timeframes.

I just counted based on Daily candle closes and make it 8 days so far in a row, assuming when we talk of "stay above" it's a reference to end of day price at least.  I'll be the contrarian and now claim that Bitcoin won't spent 10 consecutive days under $40K ever again, as long as the 10th day is met above this price. Myself watched the thread, and I believe it had coincidence for sometime being, only thing I find wrong is the word ever again. Now he might've corrected himself. Everyone knew the growth of bitcoin is unstoppable, so such a word isn't needed.

Bitcoin is unstoppable, that's why we are all not surprised by the current price movements, investors are increasingly close ranks and focusing on bitcoin. although it seems like a coincidence but in fact from the various things that can affect it.. it has been proven real and happened.

If we look at the current Bitcoin price increase which is above $40k, I don't think it's a coincidence. This rise occurred as more and more people
realized the potential of Bitcoin and finally more and more people invest in Bitcoin. That what makes Bitcoin's rise unstoppable, if we don't believe it,
we can see a graph of Bitcoin price movements since Bitcoin entered the market, which every year Bitcoin always rises to a higher price. In fact,
I am optimistic that the price will continue to rise and could soon return to the price of $60k in the next few months. So if someone doubts
the potential of Bitcoin, that person doesn't really understand Bitcoin.
