The Chinese know what they did to get the world into this virus and they should undo it to let the rest of us have peace. This is becoming serious as alot of lives are getting lost every day. Whatever they wanted to achieve should be counted as achieved, even if not, so that the virus can be controlled at once. Enough of all this.

They probably had the delta variant spreading long before we got the first publicized case, because if we are to believe their current numbers, they only have a 7 day average of about 50 cases...and obviously we can't believe their current numbers. Could also be possible it's the new "delta plus" variant that's been circulating. Apparently South Korea found a new variant of the delta strain, so now we're dealing with this in the APAC region.

Just imagine how chaotic and how scary it is to live in this world if ever what's in the picture is real. Though it has a very low probability of being true, we are still aware that China has planned all of this all along. Just take a look at the cases being recorded in their country compared to others, they still have very few cases regardless of having a new variant. We all thought things are getting better as the vaccine arrives but little do we know that the worst is yet to come. This pandemic is more than just a pandemic considering the evolution of it as it spreads even more in different parts of the world.

I really don't think this is real. And if it is, the context makes all the difference. I mean, maybe it's just an estimation on how the virus would evolve, not an actual plan made by someone.

As long as herd immunity is not achieved on a global scale, more and more lethal strains of the virus will appear and in the end even the vacciated population might need hospitalization. I heard that Pfizer vaccine has an efficacy of only around 40% against the delta strain, although it has almost 100% protection against hospitalization. For the original strain, the efficacy against infection was 95%. And now coming to the east Asian countries such as China, Taiwan and Vietnam, the population in these countries were largely unaffected by the original strain (probably due to the occurrence of naturally occurring antibodies). And therefore it is a very dangerous sign that the delta strain is affecting these populations.

I'm not sure what the percentage protection against delta variant infection the vaccines provide, but you're right that it almost entirely prevents infection severe enough to require hospitalisation. The data are very clear on this. If people who have had the vaccine can catch it, they can pass it on... but if their symptoms are less severe, or they are entirely asymptomatic, then they're obviously less likely to be coughing it out, which will help to lower the R value somewhat.

Yes. The more of the virus there is circulating within the human population, the more variants will appear. This is why there is so much talk of annual booster shots to combat variants. The virus has to be managed; it can't be eradicated unless herd immunity is achieved on a global level.

I dont know what backward country you from but India successfully defends the chemical graphene oxide attack with ivermectin and in Canada it does officially no longer exist, court decision

Not only China, the new delta strain is breaking out all over the world. Many Asian countries are experiencing the worst time in history when the medical overload and unpredictable variation of covid. Vaccine supply is limited, wait for help from the US and European countries.

Countries like China and Australia seriously affected by the delta variants which means the real wave just started now, not sure about that India contained the delta variant or the previous covid 19 but surely every country is getting ready to face the delta variant with their lockdowns meanwhile some countries started to open schools and universities which is not a right decision in my opinion though.

My country's national health agency is starting to obeserve at 3 new variants: Mu, Lambda and C12 (maybe on the list but in different terms). Yep you're right, the schedule is a bit messy or has been rescheduled because the conditions say something else. I'm sure it will launch 3 to 5 variants at once for next 3 months.

The data show quite clearly that vaccination does help against the delta variant. If you contract delta and have been fully vaccinated, chances are you will have much lighter symptoms. Hospital admission and death is vastly more likely if you haven't been vaccinated, than if you have.

It's not really upgrading. Mutations are random, some more transmissible, some less, some giving higher chance of mortality, some less. But obviously the more of the virus there is in the world, the more chance a dangerous variant will arise. This is why if a nation becomes fully vaccinated, it's not 'job done'... the vaccination programme needs to achieve herd immunity everywhere in the world in order to prevent new variants emerging.
