Does the Philippines Sports Comission (PSC) lacks budget in this current Olympics preparations?
I guess the PSC gave enough or even more from the training up to the event accomodation as per Hidilyn's statement during her interview on the local news channel in the PH.
There is a specific amount or budget allocated for the athletes through PSC. I don't think the senate will put an increase to their budget especially we're still overcoming the aftermath of this pandemic.

I don't want to think about the last match of Nesthy as there's a controversy that's being brought by our fellow countrymen but a loss is a loss. Yeah, but it was still a good performance for Paalam, it was not a shut out win as he score 1 on the five judges. Nothing to be ashamed off, he give everything he got, he just fall short.

I watched the game in my TV and saw the whole fight. Man, it was really heartbreaking to see Paalam fell on the first round due to the 3-punch combination that caught him off guard on the ropes. Though I do believe that the second round belongs to Paalam, the judges thought otherwise. On the third and final round, I was really hoping that Paalam would knockout Yafai but the latter played it very conservatively and safely.

Nesthy already said that she will still continue and pursue that gold. And i will say that most athletes do, It took Hidilyn Diaz 4 Olympics to win that gold medal for us. So for sure those boxers, Nesthy, Carlo and Marcial will train very hard and will join other competitions (Asian, EU) to sharpen their skills more and they could face the same boxers they have face here in the Olympics.

Yes, there's no need to be sad but it's that it's already near and in fact there's a study that bronze medalists are happier than the silver medalists. Because with the bronze's situation, they're happy that they are still able to get in and take bronze whilst with the silver medalist, he's already there but did fall short and didn't win the gold. They may not have the best support they want during the training period, but the reward is very sweet as they received big cash rewards, a car, a big bike, and even a house and lot.
