The main thing to take away from this news is they will have a limit of up to $100,000 in a single transaction to be cashed out by their customers.
I don't think any other service allows this on their platform.
With google allowing ads pertaining to bitcoin again, it is showing google's acceptable that it is not a hindrance on their business model after all.

It is a big news but effects are not as big as people imagine or over optimistic it can have.

I agree it is good for crypto market because it will bring more convenience to people who are still hesitating to begin their crypto adventure. From more convenience, more people will actually begin their adventure and bring more capital to the market.

Good news is good but if people are over optimistic, they will be more vulnerable to fud when reality is a bit different from what they imagine. Governments will challenge the growth of crypto market and FUD will be there to attack naive people and their naive over optimistic belief.

Despite being one of their biggest haters, I like that new feature, and if they could expand it to other countries, then it'll be a huge factor in using their services ^{[at least for a selected few]}.

Instant 100k cashouts sounds pretty big crazy to my ears doesn't it? I mean Binance got in trouble for 2 btc withdrawal limit a day (which is what 65k? I thought Coinbase was regulated and all that.

And when you combine it with the part I highlighted, it actually becomes way bigger than what you initially thought:

That's alright I mean it's not like everyone is using it anyways, what's important is that it's there and it exist so whe someone finally wants to use it, they will be able to find that there's one there. I don't even use any of those since there's a lot of apps that I can use to do my crypto transactions in my country so I don't have any problem with that but this is a good step for adoption.

Well for many, it was the only viable option to safely (read as compliantly) get Bitcoin or cash it out. If Gpay and Applepay truly make their inroads into Coinbase, it's a very different game. Like I said, even the PayPal option was apparently met with huge demand (or that's marketing ploy). Think of the e-commerce indies already on (or solely on) Gpay and now able to accept and liquidate crypto instantly and at such high daily volumes!

Apple card holders can now have a savings account with 4.15% interest but is only available for US residents.

Since they have partnered with Uniswap this could be big news for those who wish to hold cryptocurrenies on their Apple card and pay with Apple Pay since they have allowed metamask users to exchange tokens using it's platform.

PayPal is offering the same 4.15 rate and there are a bunch of banks offering better rates here in the US.

Much like not your keys, not your coins. Do you want 1 monolithic company like apple controlling a credit card, a savings account, your crypto info and all that other data that they collect when using their devices?

And lets not forget this thread started with a discussion about Coinbase, who closes accounts for 'their own internal reasons' So you linked your Apple pay to coinbase, who close you for their own reasons. Does Goldman Sachs who is running the savings account find out about it through some internal API communications that we don't know about?

@DaveF True but since this discussion started while the thread was created, this scenario for all companies stance to cryptocurrencies have changed and even Coinbase is looking to leave the U.S and commence their business in the U.K instead.
Paypal closing accounts is common knowledge and with Apple Pay and Coinbase partnering up such as they have done to provide a method of payment processing is making them more centralized then many would have thought first hearing this news.

And with this news of the Apple card allowing the very same to be done with Goldman Sachs you can see where this is all leading too.
