Hello, I recently bought a second hand rx 590. This one to be precise https://www.asrock.com/Graphics-Card/AMD/Phantom%20Gaming%20X%20Radeon%20RX590%208G%20OC/
The hashrate is horrible, getting 25 mh/s on ethash.
I have been looking around the internet for eth bios for this card, but I can't find any for this particular model. I am wondering if someone has an eth mining bios mod to flash it with, or if bios mods made for any other card will work with it. Would appreciate any help, thanks in advance.

What is the memory of the GPU? Hynix, Samsung or micron? Hynix loves tuning down clocks instead of overclocking them, you should get hiveOS running you can flash BIOS in hiveOS direct

You dont need mod bios. Which miner are you using?
In phoenix just add this -cclock 1150 -cvddc 900 -mclock 2100 -mvdcc 900 -mt 1 -vmr 30 with this it should give 30mhs
Later you can downvolt more than 900mv test until it crashes also u can use -mt 2 later for faster.

Samsung memory GPUs are the best, I'm surprised you are getting 25mh even my rx590 gets 29.5MH with a micron memory which is the worst among the list, I use 1200c 2100m 885pw

Using batsonxl's settings worked, managed to reach 31 mh/s and stabilize the temperature. Thanks a lot!

Glad that worked  Cool
Play with it im sure you will get rock solid 30-32mhs easy and power at the wall 120-130w. These cards working till 2016 and still working. AMD makes real cards  Cool

I think teamred miner is better, through HiveOS you can use clock lock and get better performance with amdmemtweak settings, all available in the hive OS, you will also be able to use lesser watt power

Can't really switch to hiveOS because I'm running 3060s on the same rig using the nvidia windows 10 beta driver

One more question, what would you lower first to drop the temperature a bit with the least possible negative effect on hashrate?

I don't get, you can run both AMD and Nvidia in same rig on hiveOS as well, just use miners that support both AMD and Nvidia like NBminer, is your 3060 an LHR card maybe that's what you meant?

Decrease voltage to 880mv if it is not crashing it will lower your temps a bit. Whats your temps now? You can manually add -tt 60 will keep your gpu at 60C

Batsonxl is this -mt 1 or 2 available for AMD cards like Rx Vega 56? If yes what is the mining software that works with such tweaking? I'm on hive OS anyway and I'm willing to try new tweaks out thanks

RM1000X can power 5 of your cards without any problems. I would reduce the consumption of a 1080ti graphics card, you have a very large power limit. If I'm not crazy, then this video card can mine 39 megahash with a consumption of 180 watts.
These units are designed for a load of 1 kilowatt, these units have been operating for me in the 850-900 watt mode for more than 4 years.

If you are in hiveos then it is very easy to apply amdmemtweaks. i suggest read this :

This consists of good guides for all Vega 56 and 64 thanks for sharing, I couldn't get my Vega to be stable at 46MH always rebooting but now I will try some of the tweaks in this link you drop, thanks for sharing 👍
